SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Opening for one horseback riding camp counselor or instructor's assistant. Must have at least 5 years horse experience and CPR training.

CAMP FACILITIES: Training is held at the Potrero Field on campus. This complex features space equal to four full size soccer fields. The camp's exclusive use of these fields insures that they are in magnificent condition. Even our professional players on the staff, who expect perfect playing surfaces, appreciate the chance to work on such well-kept fields. Games are also held in the New Arroyo Hall gym next door to the dorms. Playing with tennis shoes and with the smaller indoor ball, campers get the challenge of playing a quicker game with restricted space.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our home is the stunning campus at Cal State Channel Islands located near Camarillo, CA. The university is surrounded by agricultural land and nestled at the base of the Santa Monica mountains. It has the most modern facilities of a Cal State school and state of the art soccer fields for our campers. Now in our 41st year of running camp, we continue to be leader in youth soccer programs.

Michelle Danner’s Los Angeles acting school specializes in the Meisner Technique, Lee Strasberg’s Method, Stella Adler, Stanislavski’s System, and the Chekhov technique.

Michelle Danner is the founder and artistic director of The Edgemar Center for the Arts and is a renowned actor, director, and award-winning acting coach.

CAMP FACILITIES: Located on bluffs overlooking the Pacific Ocean, sunny UC-Santa Barbara is a perfect getaway for superior summer training. It provides spacious grassy athletic fields for training, a university stadium for night games, an outdoor swimming pool for recreation, and a great beach for swimming. The campus is located 95 miles from Los Angeles, 215 miles from San Diego, and 320 miles from San Francisco.

Players stay at Tropicana Del Norte in suite style rooms. Tropicana Del Norte was recently completely and beautifully remodeled, all suites have three bedrooms, two baths and a living room.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: THE VOGELSINGER METHOD

Our goal is to create an environment—a GAME-LIKE ATMOSPHERE—through dynamic teaching and coaching by explanation, demonstration and participation to assist each player in creating a METHOD TO SELF-TEACH.

It is a painstaking STEP-BY-STEP method. We must create for you a crystal-clear picture of what we are trying to teach through demonstration and explanation. You must understand clearly and be able to picture every little detail in your MIND’S EYE. Moreover, you then have to see yourself performing it successfully, and physically feel it and emotionally experience it.

The ultimate goal of self-teaching is INTERNALIZING MOTIVATION and knowing where you are, where you want to be, and how to get there step-by-step. We say you “FAIL YOUR WAY TO SUCCESS” because with this method, mistakes become your guidelines.

At Camp Doodles, we keep the daily flow consistent but the content is ever-changing. A balance of small group, large group, and individual play activities keeps the environment dynamic without being over stimulating - which is especially important for our younger campers. Camp Doodles is a professional member of the summer camp community. We have won local awards, and are Nationally Accredited by the American Camp Association.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We offer our Counselor-in-Leadership (CILT) & Junior Counselor (JC) programs where 7th - 10th graders are given the opportunity to build a variety of leadership skills while working directly with a mentor counselor. CILTs and JCs set and work towards goals with their mentor during their 1-week session, which often include hands-on practice with:

- Learning to work with kids in a camp setting, such as redirecting behavior, engaging them in conversation and encouraging participation

- Communication with adults and peers in a professional manner

- Collaboration as a CILT/JC team, planning and executing camp programs such as skits, assemblies and activities

- Perseverance and flexibility when things don’t go as planned

CILTs are campers entering 7th - 8th grades. Junior Counselors are campers entering 9th-10th grades and take-on added responsibility appropriate to their interests and skill level. To ensure our high standards for this program, space is limited to 12 spots per camp location per week.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Project Endeavor Experience takes students and faculty from around the globe and works with each participant to hone their skills and talents. Each participant will be assigned a team and each team will work with a team leader to design a project or perform a routine or create a masterpiece that will be shown to members of that given field at a final banquet. The team that is elected by members of that profession will be honored at the event and will be able to meet with the judges. As a part of the Project Endeavor experience, each team will base their project and the competition on behalf of a local charitable organization. CAMP FACILITIES: Campers live with their counselors in one of several villages grouped by age and gender. Our facilities also include multiple indoor and outdoor program spaces (including a 700-person Amphitheater), a sustainable farm, a vineyard, four outdoor plazas, athletic facilities and fields, an alpine climbing tower, a low ropes course and a 400-feet zip line, overnight space, hiking trails, multiple arts facilities - and a pool and waterslide.

Avodah
11th Grade

Avodah is a multifaceted, service-based program in which campers play an integral role in camp’s day-to-day operations. Avodahniks develop a strong work ethic and serve as Jewish role models at camp. Beyond daily activities, campers work diligently on a significant camp improvement project and march as a team in both the annual Pride Parade and AIDS Walk in San Francisco.

Our highly-selective and popular CIT program trains our future staff and camp leadership, offering young adults a valuable personal and professional growth opportunity. Leadership workshops and Judaic programs are combined with practical hands-on training with children of all ages.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: From the first camp that we ever held, our goal was to allow your children to explore the many wonders of technology, giving them the opportunity to explore technologies that for some were unimaginable. In our camps we offer topics in 2D game development, 3D game development, web design, electronics, 3D character design, and other topics on varying platforms taught by our knowledgeable instructors. Your child will be exposed to a large range of topics over the course of the week.

All our staff and instructors are specialized in the STEAM area. Our instructors also receive a full background check with the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) and they are fingerprinted with the Department of Justice (DOJ).

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: YEA is a unique and inspiring leadership summer camp for youth 12-17 who care about community service, activism and social justice. This week-long sleep-away program is designed to be a fun and transforming experience that builds life-long friendships between youth with similar interests. YEA Camp New York will have two concurrent sessions! One session for teens with a variety of causes, and for the first time ever, a separate session for teens interested in animal activism (and what better location than a Farm Animal Sanctuary!).

Our program also provides a meaningful opportunity for campers to learn more about some of the issues facing our planet and to get inspired and empowered to take action on those issues. Campers choose an issue of importance to them (for example, some have chosen climate change, racism, homophobia, homelessness, animal rights) and at YEA they build the knowledge, skills, confidence, and community to take action on that issue long after camp is over. Youth who have participated in our programs report that the camp was one of the most fun, rewarding and life-changing experiences they have had, and, with YEA's community support, have gone on to start school clubs, plan fundraisers for nonprofits, organize community clean-ups, and attend hearings to comment about important community issues.

Event Info: Spend the week exploring and building your audition techniques. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Philosophy: SOAR believes all individuals identified with learning disabilities (LD) and attention deficit disorder (ADHD) possess inherent talents and gifts. These abilities can mean incredible success in adulthood once these students negotiate the challenging obstacles of childhood, adolescence, and a traditional education system, usually unable to respond to individual learning styles.

SOAR's programs are designed to allow students the opportunity to increase their independence while away from home. Independence is gained through self-motivation and life skills instruction. CAMP FACILITIES: Our 200 acre property contains forest land, a swimming pond, activity fields and hiking trails. We have 14 cabins, a dining hall, meetinghouse and a large community garden attached to our farm lands and orchard.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summer Camp - Ages 8-14: Campers come for 1 week or two week session (and some for 3, 4, or 5 weeks!) and go on wilderness trips. Each week there are 3 day, 2 night trips to Tahoe, the Sierra Buttes, and/or the Yuba River.

Teen Leadership Camp - Ages 15-16: These exciting programs takes the Summer Camp experience to a whole new level for 15 and 16 year olds: We offer a two-week hiking program, a one-week farming and cooking program, and a two-week bike repair and bike touring program.

Hiking Program (Two weeks): TLCers will spend two days bonding, learning about their trip, and preparing for hiking. They and their trip leaders will then embark on a 10-day backpacking trip along the Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). They will then return to camp, and will have two days of closure at the end.

Farming & Cooking Program (One week): TLCers will spend their week working in Woolman's organic garden, learning about farming, plants and the farm to table journeys of the food we eat. They will learn nutrition and cooking skills as they prepare many of their meals with the fruits and vegetables harvested.

CAMP COUNSELOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Brief Description: Camp counselors at Pali Adventures are responsible for the physical and emotional well-being of campers. They supervise campers in a cabin setting, at mealtimes, and during activities. Counselors are in charge of facilitating activities throughout the day. Counselors work as a team to ensure all campers have a fun and memorable experience at camp. Counselors report directly to their Specialty Director and Group Leader.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Exhibit characteristics of responsibility, dependability, leadership, patience, punctuality, hard work, sense of humor, self-control, integrity, common sense, good judgment and a positive enthusiastic attitude.
 Complete the staff application and interview process.
 Attend staff training (May 30 – June 12) and all in-service trainings.
 Must have completed high school and be a minimum 18 years of age or older as of 5/30/20.
 Desire and ability to work with children.
 Other duties as assigned

Staff members are entrusted with the care and safety of young children in a rustic setting replete with natural and man-made dangers. CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Wamp is a sleep away camp where kids camp out under the stars every night. There is a lake, a rock wall, recreation /dining hall and, the most trees you've ever seen covering many acres of forest.

Campers enjoy a variety of outdoor activities including; fishing, canoeing, singing around the camp fire, hiking, making new friends, participating in survival challenges, and much more.

All Camp Wamp sessions offer STEAM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math) experiences. STEAM will be introduced in an outdoor classroom setting where professionals introduce STEAM throughout the week at camp. STEAM is geared towards problem solving specific to the disabilities of each child.

Camp Wamp’s survival challenges encourage teamwork, self education, and fosters goal setting. We believe being a part of a team is one way to enjoy adventures that the wilderness of the High Sierra’s has to offer. Nature is our living classroom, and the more children are exposed to elements, the more they tend to appreciate the natural environment.

OTHER CAMP INFO: The Stephen J Wampler Foundation incorporated in October 2001, becoming a fully recognized tax-exempt non-profit 501(c) 3 organization in March of 2002 (Tax ID number #80-0470847). Our outdoor programs started in August of 2004 when we welcomed our first 24 campers. The organization has grown over the past 17 years, and we have sponsored 1250 children.

Camp Wamp, located near North Lake Tahoe in the High Sierras, is a place where kids with physical challenges have the week of their life in the great outdoors. The kids of Camp Wamp leave the experience having learned to face life with a new sense of self-reliance, ambition, optimism and adventure. Most of these kids are also quick to say that Camp Wamp was the, “Best Week Ever”!.

Group size: Because it is a small camp of 20, we do not regroup the campers. They are one big group and will be split up during drills according to their ages and skill level

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Marin Ranch Camp is Marin County's premier residential adventure camp. We're known for our core values of Friendship, Adventure, Community, Tradition & Safety.

We offer a fun and engaging camp program where any kids entering 2nd - 8th grade (LIT for 9th - 12th) can hike, swim, boat, explore and play. A place where children can be themselves while participating in traditional, good old fashioned summer camp activities.

At Marin Ranch Camp, the opportunities to engage with nature are limitless thanks to our lake, river, organic garden, farm animals and hiking trails spanning over 1,700 acres in beautiful West Marin.

Sure, we do all the traditional camp activities like canoeing, archery and a ropes course to name a few, but it goes much deeper than that.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our high school campers are Leaders-in-Training (LITs). Campers in this program will get the same great Marin Ranch Camp experience, with many added responsibilities and activities. Our trained and experienced directors take a special interest in these young leaders, gauging their established leadership, teamwork and communication abilities and taking them to the next level using fun games and ropes course challenges.

This accreditation from the most well-respected national camp organization confirms what we have known and committed ourselves to for years - that our programs and activities meet high standards for quality and safety.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
The cost of each camp session (2 weeks) is $500 for grades K-6. The cost for one week only is $300. We offer children attending all four weeks a $100 discount, reducing the total cost to $900, and a second child/sibling discount of $50 per session.

The tuition includes all camp field trips, a camp T-shirt and two snacks per day. There is an additional fee of $150 per two-week session for our 7th and 8th grade Habonim campers, to cover the cost of special activities (like surfing and scuba diving). The full tuition for each session must be paid before the first day of that session.

CAMP FACILITIES: Resident students stay in dorms on the beautiful campus of San Diego State University. Meals are included in tuition.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Euro Soccer USA’s Soccer Mini Leagues for Kids in Playa Vista Los Angeles. Euro Soccer USA Mini Leagues comprise of 10 weeks of Fun exciting games specifically designed to maximize participation and repetition of Skill within Boys and Girls aged 18 Mo-12 Years.

This is an appropriately structured developmental League program providing a more relaxed yet challenging environment and level of competitiveness ideal to avoid disappointment and one sided teams which unfortunately is rife in Today’s other youth Soccer programs.

Success, improvement and motivation are all key factors into allowing each and every participant gain confidence, enhance skill level and understanding of the game. This is why at Playa Vista Mini Leagues, scores of games, league position and rankings will not be a determining factor throughout the 10 weeks of games which would have a detrimental and have a negative effect on many participants.

Soccer Science Graduate & UEFA B License Coach Denver Newton with 20 years experience will now provide an ideal platform for beginner, intermediate and competitive level young soccer players to take their skill level and game awareness higher.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Ranch at Live Oak Malibu is set on a historic working ranch with a place in Southern California history. Our retreat spans acres of native grounds, offering hiking trails, picturesque mountain and canyon views. The Ranch offers the perfect setting to focus on your health, fitness, nutrition and wellness goals. The calming colors and beautiful decor of our private accommodations enhance relaxation. Your stay at The Ranch will feel as if you are in a friend's comfortable guest house.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Food, fitness activities, classes, and private accommodations are included with the price of one week's stay. Food served here is all vegetarian and organic, with a good portion of the produce coming from our own sustainable farm. We allow groups to reserve the entire week and bring their friends. In this instance, we can tailor a program to handle the groups fitness level. This can include corporate executives, YPO Forums, Seniors, mother/daughter groups, friends, colleagues, college groups, large families, etc. In addition to all the usual amenities of our weeklong program, R4.0 guests also have access to the California Health and Longevity Institute and its many treatments and the Four Seasons Spa (at additional cost).
