Camp provides the perfect opportunity to improve skills, make new friends, laugh hard, and smile a lot. Our Mission is to shape a lifelong enjoyment of athletics through high quality sports education and skill enhancement while consistently exceeding the expectations of our customers!

During the summer of 2014 more than 70,000 US and international campers attended a US Sports Camps program. US Sports Camps currently offers 24 programs in 15 different sports.

Our summer sports camps include: Baseball, Basketball, Crew, Field Hockey, Football, Golf, Gymnastics, Lacrosse, Multi-Sport, Rugby, Running, Soccer, Softball, Swim, Tennis, Ultimate, Volleyball, Waterpolo, and Yoga. We also offer several International sports camps around the world. Our sports camps continue to grow thanks to an outstanding community of Camp Directors and the dedication of the entire USSC staff. CAMP FACILITIES: Our summer camp is committed to getting players off to a great start and to help advance more experienced players to the next competitive level. Mission Hoop Campers are divided into different divisions for competitive balance (when numbers permit). Each division will be instructed through basketball drills, film, and competition.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Passport to dance is a fun-filled day of dance classes including Jazz, Hula, Hip-Hop, Bollywood, Modern, Ballroom, Creative Movement, as well as Yoga.

There are healthy snacks provided during breaks throughout the day and there are also arts and crafts during dance breaks.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This program is designed for the young dance student, ages 8 to 10, who are currently enrolled in Level 1, 2 or 3 Ballet and are taking a minimum of two to three ballet classes a week. It is a comprehensive program that enhances the dancer’s classical ballet training and introduces the dancer to character, historical dance, jazz, etiquette and proper stretching. Southland Ballet Academy's outstanding faculty will be teaching this camp.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a spacious gym perfect for about 20 kids per sessions. The space is equipped with necessary tools and materials needed for proper training.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The main instructors are the owners of 360 Krav Maga, Alan and Candace Predolin. They are former military and law enforcement, and teach Krav Maga full-time. There will also be multiple camp counselors comprised of current 360 Krav Maga students.

As a third year director of the Stanford Track and Cross Country programs, Coach Miltenberg brings a wealth of experience to The Farm including having coached 39 All-Americans, multiple NCAA champions, as well as having been named the 2011 Coaches’ Association Women’s National Coach of the Year.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our classes are designed so that students can learn technology skills while engaged in fun and interesting projects. Our goal is to have students learn how to do some amazing things with technology in a supportive and fun atmosphere.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Each TechKnowHow® camp features a teaching team of two instructors. Instructors are often school teachers during the year, or professionals who work in the technology field or college students, often majoring in education or computer science. All instructors complete training, both in the specific course work which they will teach, as well as in general student interaction and camp management. Although our staff has varied backgrounds, all share an interest and ability in teaching technology skills to students! Our average camper:staff ratio is 10:1.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: KG Beach Camps has been a part of the Dana Point Harbor since 1987. Children from the ages of 4-13 can enjoy a variety of activities that our three different camps offer. CAMP FACILITIES: We have 20 modern open air cabins, large dining hall, outdoor basketball, tennis courts and large ball field. Being on an island, our site is right on the beach. We have an amphitheater for campfires and an amazing climbing wall and high-ropes facility.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp del Corazon is an ACA accredited camp that serves children with heart disease. Camp del Corazon (Camp of the Heart) was founded in 1995 by a UCLA nurse and doctor who wanted to provide a new kind of healing to their pediatric cardiac patients. Today the camp serves over 400 children a summer.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We offer year-round retreats for congenital heart patients between 18 and 24 years old on the mainland. This program is called the Progressive Adult Cardiac Experience (PACE). This program is aimed at developing the practical and leadership skills that young adults with heart disease will need as they transition into their adult lives. This program often involves a weekend of camping, teambuilding games and workshops.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Camp del Corazon is free for our campers.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: In the Fall (October) we host a Family Festival for our camp community in the Los Angeles area so that families can meet our fabulous volunteer staff as well as other camper families.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Ranch at Live Oak Malibu is set on a historic working ranch with a place in Southern California history. Our retreat spans acres of native grounds, offering hiking trails, picturesque mountain and canyon views. The Ranch offers the perfect setting to focus on your health, fitness, nutrition and wellness goals. The calming colors and beautiful decor of our private accommodations enhance relaxation. CAMP FACILITIES: We have 3000 square feet of padded floor for indoor games and sports, as well as an Air Conditioned "Chill Zone" for the kids to cool off and play board games and eat snacks on hot days. Outside we have our Arts & Crafts tent where kids can get messy while having fun, and a paved area to play basketball, wall ball, nerf wars, water ballon toss, and other fun outside games.

CAMP FACILITIES: In both NYC and LA, campuses are accessible only with a valid AMDA photo identification card, which High School Summer Conservatory students receive.

Supervision is provided 24 hours a day, 7 days per week. When students are not in class with our world-class faculty, they are supervised by members of our trained AMDA staff.

Students leave campus only for planned and chaperoned outings, which may include going to a Broadway show or visiting NYC and LA tourist destinations.

Morning classes in your chosen performing arts focus (Acting, Vocal Music or Dance) with emphasis breakout sessions in your major.

Rehearsals for your Final Performance

CAMP FACILITIES: Cedar Lake has various bunkhouses and lodges. We can accommodate multiple groups at one time, and have a 290 camper maximum capacity.

Cedar Lake Camp also offers many activities for groups including canoeing, swimming, hiking, volleyball, basketball, campfires, disc golf and an exceptional challenge course.

CAMP COUNSELOR JOB DESCRIPTION

Brief Description: Camp counselors at Pali Adventures are responsible for the physical and emotional well-being of campers. They supervise campers in a cabin setting, at mealtimes, and during activities. Counselors are in charge of facilitating activities throughout the day. Counselors work as a team to ensure all campers have a fun and memorable experience at camp. Counselors report directly to their Specialty Director and Group Leader.

QUALIFICATIONS

 Exhibit characteristics of responsibility, dependability, leadership, patience, punctuality, hard work, sense of humor, self-control, integrity, common sense, good judgment and a positive enthusiastic attitude.
 Complete the staff application and interview process.
 Attend staff training (May 30 – June 12) and all in-service trainings.
 Must have completed high school and be a minimum 18 years of age or older as of 5/30/20.
 Desire and ability to work with children.
 Other duties as assigned

Staff members are entrusted with the care and safety of young children in a rustic setting replete with natural and man-made dangers. All staff members must have the ability to respond immediately to an emergency. E.g. drinking water, daily showers, teeth brushing, active supervision during rest/ down time, application of sunscreen and lip balm, appropriate attire for the activity they will be attending, etc.

• Provide opportunities for each individual to experience success during camp.
• The staff member must never leave campers unsupervised.

CAMP FACILITIES: Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California is a day camp that builds camp programming in at the park and we have field trips in the community to the beach and other local Southern California attractions.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Quest Therapeutic Camps of Southern California is accredited by the American Camp Association, and offers 7 weeks of summer day camps in Huntington Beach for children with mild to moderate difficulties behaviorally, emotionally or socially.

Children who participate in Quest programming often have diagnoses of ADHD, anxiety, Asperger's Disorder, depression, learning disabilities and/or social problems.

Quest Camps provide:

1) Individualized behavior plans;
2) Group therapy four times per week;
3) Occupational therapy services to assist children in building their skills in self-regulation, sensory processing, motor skill development and bilateral coordination;
4) A 6 to 1 camper to staff ratio;
5) Parent meetings with home therapeutic goal development;
6) Consistent positive interventions;
7) Engaging fun activities for campers such as rock climbing, soccer, arts and crafts, and field trips such as high-ropes courses, trips to Knott's Berry Farm, The Discovery Science Center, The Ocean Institute, and beach days.

Quest utilizes a comprehensive therapeutic system that provides a treatment plan individualized for each child. By observing the child in camp activities throughout the day, our staff is able to see how problems present themselves.

Jodie Knott, Ph.D., camp director and licensed clinical psychologist, coordinates the Quest treatment program. She has created and facilitated therapeutic, experiential learning interventions for children for over 12 years and specializes in the assessment and treatment of attention and learning disorders, in addition to mood disorders.

Quest staff is trained to provide positive intervention to teach new, constructive behaviors. Counselors provide verbal support for accomplishments and directions for areas of improvement. By developing an open and nurturing environment where children feel accepted and respected, campers make positive changes because they feel safe to try new behaviors.

We are very proud at Quest to now have evidence-based research that supports what parents and professionals have seen for over twenty years! During the summer of 2008, 155 families participated in an independent research study by Lisa Greenberg to measure the effectiveness of Quest's therapeutic program. The results demonstrated treatment benefits rarely seen in psychological programs. Quest was found to provide effective individualized treatment for children 6-18 years old with mild to moderate behavioral, emotional and/or social problems.

Significant reductions in hyperactivity, impulsivity, aggression and inattention were found, along with improvements in peer relations, family relations, athletic competency, behavioral control and self-esteem. Behavioral problems were found to decrease not only at camp, but also at home, school and everyday life.

Children who come to Quest struggling to make friends, handling frustration and conquering their fears, leave with increased self-esteem and improved peer and family relationships. Their fears and frustrations are reduced and behavioral problems become less influential in their lives.

In addition, Quest parents have consistently rated Quest highly. Specifically, rating very high satisfaction with the overall summer program, quality of staff, individualized goals and behavior ratings, campers' enjoyment, and the ability to keep their child's interest.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Quest’s After School Program consists of three 10-week sessions each school year. Children and adolescents attend the after school program once a week for two hours (from 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.) and are grouped based on age and ability.

The Afterschool Program employs the Quest System, and includes an activity hour to work with the campers in a naturalistic environment and an hour of small-group therapy to focus on individual goals and group dynamics. Campers participate in a field trip once every ten-week session.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This program is for students who have completed grades 8-12 with a minimum of one year of modern dance training. This two-week intensive will support dancer's technical growth and focus on the creative and expressive aspects of modern dance composition and performance. Students will spend these two weeks exploring in modern technique, repertory, dance composition, improvisation, and special topics including partnering, yoga, and more. Enrollment is limited to 20 students to best provide individualized attention. Students will be divided into two levels for modern technique based on a placement class held the first day. There will be a final presentation of the material learned in all classes on Friday, August 7th from 4-5pm at Shawl-Anderson Dance Center. A detailed schedule of each day will be sent out prior to the start of the intensive.
