TYPE OF CAMP: Overnight/Sleepaway. Day Camp. J-Camp is primarily a day camp setting with a few overnight options for older grades.

CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Music/Band, Fine Arts/Crafts, Basketball, Cheerleading, Golf, Gymnastics, Swimming, Waterfront/Aquatics, Team Sports, Adventure, Travel, Wilderness/Nature, and more. Archery, Magic, Ice Skating, LEGO, Laser Tag, Ceramics, Urban Art, Mad Science, Carpentry
CAMP LOCATION: We are located 5 miles east of Stanford right off the 101. Please visit our camp website for more information and driving directions.
CAMP FACILITIES: Beautiful campus that offers a full service fitness facility, multiple rooms for programming, theater, and newly installed artificial grass.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: J-Camp's management team carefully selects all summer staff. Pre-interview essays determine candidates' outlooks, experience and intentions. Group interviews determine past experience with youth, leadership skills and general personality traits while individual interviews identify critical thinking abilities, supervision aptitude and problem solving skills. Finally, candidates receive background checks and undergo multiple reference checks.
Before camp starts, counselors train for over 35 hours and unit leaders complete over 55 hours of training.
Staff is trained in the following areas:
� • Safety certification including CPR and first aid
� • Adult/child mentorship and age appropriate activities
� • Behavior management and bully/abuse prevention
� • Field trip and off-site safety and procedures
� • Pool, beach and sun safety
� • Interpersonal communications and family relations
� • Curriculum development and team leadership (unit leaders only)
J-Camp International Staff
Each summer we hire a few outstanding international team members to motivate and inspire your kids! Your child will learn about different countries, customs and cultures first-hand from our fabulous international staff. Past staff has hailed from Australia, Israel, Holland, England, Scotland and South Africa.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
J-Camp is looking for skilled, friendly, and well-qualified individuals to come and be a part of the camp staff team at the OFJCC. Positions available include Head Counselor, Counselor, Jr. Counselor, Music Specialist, and Art Specialist.
