CAMP FACILITIES: The Arboretum grounds total 16.5 acres of forest habitat, host a variety of native New Jersey wildflower species and are home to over 40 species of trees, many species of birds and an array of ferns.

Our building consists of an entrance, bird observatory, and the Stone House which houses animal exhibits, including sculptural trees, a climbing structure with an incorporated crawl space, and a small collection of live, native animals.

1st-3rd grade (Explorers), and 4th-6th grade (Hawks).

CAMP FACILITIES: Summit has approx. 30 traditional wooden cabins with electric and private facilities in each cabin. Our main buildings include our newly refinished dining hall, air-conditioned recreational hall, our medical facility, and a newly built outdoor pavilion. Summit utilizes three A frame buildings for our arts programs, a wilderness treehouse with camp fire area for cookouts, newly resurfaced basketball/tennis courts, high/low ropes course with climbing wall, heated pool, private lake, nature fields with a farm area, martial arts dojo, go-kart track with 3 karts. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Summit Camp is a co-ed sleepaway camp for ages 8-19 years with issues of attention: AD/HD, HFA/Asperger’s Disorder, and/or learning differences. Using the frame of a traditional sleepaway camp, we create platforms of success where our campers can experience outcomes such as improved self-esteem, lasting friendships, and increased independence. Pool Staff: *The Head Lifeguard is required to be 22+. Lifeguards are required to be post high school. *Certifications: Red Cross Lifeguard Training, CPR/AED, WSI a plus. *Have a minimum of: two years experience consisting cumulatively of at least 16 weeks as a children’s camp lifeguard.

Pool staff are required to have strong communication and leadership skills, strong risk management and safety awareness, and a thorough knowledge and application of lifeguard surveillance and rescue techniques.

All pool staff are responsible for guarding their area of responsibility, responding to any level of incident around the entire facility, enforcing our rules fairly and politely, checking and maintaining pool chemicals (head guard), ensuring member safety, being patient and enthusiastic while teaching and holding productive lessons, setting up and cleaning up lesson station,and other tasks assigned by the Director and Head Lifeguard.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS:

COUNSELOR IN TRAINING (CIT) PROGRAM: Ages 13-15. In our CIT Program, teens have the opportunity to shadow our Day Camp leaders and develop leadership skills. While in the program, emphasis is on the development of values and leadership skills, self-esteem, goal setting, environmental awareness, camping skills and the confidence necessary to make the transition from camper to counselor. Space is limited.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: YCARES is a financial assistance program designed to establish reduced fee arrangements with individuals based on their circumstances and their demonstrated ability to pay. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Harbor Haven is ACA (American Camp Association) accredited, and a state and town approved youth camp. Since 1997 parents, children, professionals and service providers have recognized and praised the excellent results of our program.

Our staff is professional, experienced and highly trained. Each senior staff member holds a degree in special education or a related field with experience in both educational and therapeutic settings working with children with special needs. Counselors are carefully selected for their ability to facilitate growth for our children and their motivation to work in our setting.

We provide a safe, secure, fun and motivating environment. A registered nurse is on site. Staff undergo thorough background checks. Staff to child ratio is 1:3 or better. Safety and security are carefully monitored.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Harbor Haven has a two week volunteer program for 17 and 18 year olds. There are very limited spots available. An interview is required along with completing an application and getting 3 letters of recommendation.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Some campers receive funding through their school district. Check with your case manager to see if this is an option for your child.

You can submit limited portions of the Harbor Haven program to your insurance company for reimbursement. We can provide you with a codified bill after you have paid in full.

We are approved by Perform Care (formerly known as DDD.) Your child must be eligible for funding from this agency.

Other agencies such as Catholic Charities, Kiwanis and Knights of Pythias and Columbus have provided scholarships in the past.

All of the above must be pursued by the parents/guardians. Harbor Haven will be happy to complete any paperwork required of them.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Simon Forum is a modern top notch athletic facility with a state of the art multi sport surface. The lunch meals are prepared by the campus dining hall.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: This is a fencing camp with all weapons, sabre, foil, epee offered. Kids with zero experience entering 5th through 9th grade are welcome. Kids with fencing experience 4th through 8th are welcome.

Camp Director, Vince Paragano, is the head fencing coach for Drew University. He is also the founder of the Bernards HS Fencing Team and the Governor Livingston Fencing Team. He is a multi Pan-American gold medal winner. He is one of few college fencing coaches who are still actively competing. Two of his children were top performing NJ high school fencers.

Camp Assistant Director, Dayn DeRose, is the former head coach for Drew University of 25 years. He is the head coach of South Mountain Fencing in Madison, NJ. He is a certified Maestro d' Arms with the US Fencing Coaches Association.

Camp Head Coach, Jerry Duffey, is the head coach for the Chatham High School Fencing Teams. The 2018-19 teams were the most successful yet in Chatham fencing, winning both the boys' and girls' NJAC Conference Championships, 3 District-1 Squad Championships, 2 District-1 Individual Champions, Morris County Boys' Team Championship and Individual Champion, Santelli Women's Sabre Squad bronze medal and Team 4th, Cetrulo Men's Sabre silver medal and team 7th, NJSIAA Fencing State Squads Men's Sabre silver medal and Women's Sabre bronze medal, NJSIAA Fencing Individual State Men's Sabre 4th, 5th, and 12th place, three NJSIAA Fencing All State Team Members.

CAMP FACILITIES: Jockey Hollow Day Camp offers a large "L" shaped swimming pool, Low Ropes Challenge Course with Zip Line, Equestrian Center, archery range, large playing field, flowing stream, and adventurous hiking trails. Six log cabins and activity shelters, a large Troop House and a spacious pavilion provide protection for bad weather days and overnight experiences. Each cabin is equipped with a fully stocked kitchen and bathroom.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Celebrating our 87th year in operation this summer, Jockey Hollow makes the health and safety of the girls at camp our primary concern. Jockey Hollow is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). This accredidation is a thorough review (up to 300 standards) of its operation from staff qualifications and training, health and safety procedures to emergency management. Additionally, the camp complies with standards set by the New Jersey State Department of Health, American Red Cross and Girl Scouts of the USA. We abide by the Girl Scout Mission to build girls of courage, confidence and character who make the world a better place. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: A 2-week CIT program for girls entering 9th grade (and 14 yrs. of age by July 5) is offered Sessions 1 & 2. During the first week, girls will develop the skills needed to mentor younger girls and understand their needs in a camp setting. During the second week the CIT's will use their newly-acquired skills under the guidance of camp counselors in the units. Girls who completed the CIT program the previous summer can participate in the 2-week CIT II program held Sessions 1 & 2. The first week, girls will focus on one of the four specialty areas of camp, as well as learn safety and risk management and unit planning. During the second week the girls will be assigned to a specialist who will supervise them as they plan and execute activities for the campers and work alongside unit staff. CIT II's will also plan and execute a portion of the All Camp Program. CIT and CIT II's are encouraged to volunteer for any or all of the remaining weeks of the camp season.

The program may also include some competition or game-like drills, volleyball scrimmages and other organized activities.

Parents will also benefit by spending time with their kids thus enhancing their relations from the sport they both are learning as well as having a more realistic view of the different developmental stages of a player from 5 – 7 years old (Fundamentals) to introduction to league and/or recreational play for ages 8 - 10. Those players who have developed their fundamental skills may move on to a more competitive environment (club or travel local team). It is a very fun, positive, confidence building, and supportive training and learning atmosphere.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have 3 air conditioned gorgeous studios. Boarding for out of town Summer Intensive students is located at The Lawerenceville School in our own private accommodations in Haskell House.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: *5 week Summer Intensive June 26 thru July 28 for Intermediate/Advanced dancers ages 11 - 20. Students attend 5 days per week. This program is a full day and includes ballet, jazz, modern, hip hop and pilates/stretch. For ages 8 - 10, the Young Dancer program is a full day and is offered, your choice of 6 weeks June . These dancers will also experience ballet, jazz, modern, pilates, hip hop and stretch.

*Young Dancer Summer Intensive for ages 8+ the week of June 26 thru July 31. This is a full day 9:30 to 3:30 Monday thru Friday. The dancers will experience Ballet, Jazz, Modern, Pilates and Hip Hop. An in-studio presentation will be held each Friday afternoon.

*Lil Dancing Stars ages 3 - 4 and Dancing Stars ages 5 -7 will be held the week of Aug. 7 and Aug. 14. These are a 1/2 day programs of creative movement, share time/circle warm up, dance rehearsal and crafts.

*Adult/Teen Ballet Classes - offered once or twice weekly, June 27 - Aug. 17.

*Adult Only Ballet Essentials Summer Intensive. Once or twice weekly, June 19 - July 19.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Campers are grouped by age and gender and are closely supervised. Junior Camp, ages 3 – 6, are placed in small groups and led through pre-set activities. Middle Campers, 7-9, and Senior Campers, 10-12, participate in an elective program in addition to their regular schedule.

Our Counselor-In-Training (CIT) Program, ages 13-14, have the best of both worlds, since they get to be campers half the day and train for staff positions the other half. Our bootcamps give students an in-depth opportunity to learn concepts that are normally taught at the university level, while our workshops serve as a fantastic introduction to a new subject. Volunteerships are offered to former students who are looking to volunteer their time and apply what they have learned for social good, as they intern for one of our clients.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Teen Treks has been a leader in bike touring summer programs for 18 years. At Teen Treks we offer fun and not competitive biking experiences. Our Moderate rated trips are geared towards first time bicyclists, appropriate for most 14-18 year olds in average or better physical health. Our Easy treks are extremely easy in terms of daily mileage and terrain and will attract slower riders. For our Challenging treks you need to be in good shape and enjoy bicycling. We have had many first time riders do challenging treks and this is for those eager for a challenge.

Any teenager can enjoy one of our summer bike trips. We love a good challenge and we encourage teens to be ambitious, but we keep things fun, too – there’s always time to stop for ice cream, enjoy the scenery, or check out an awesome local restaurant or historical site.

CAMP FACILITIES: The Colts Neck Golf Club facility features an 18 hole championship golf course, double sided driving range, grass tees and a short game area that gives the camp exclusive use during the summer.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Director of Instruction Bob Gartner started the camp in 2001 and is still the Camp Director. His prior experience includes time with Family Golf Centers, Golf Digest, The Nicklaus/Flick Golf Schools and RDC Golf as well as two years developing GOAL GOLF in the mid 1990's.

The camp offers the lowest student/teacher ratio with 2 or 3 students per counselor and ALL COUNSELORS have graduated from Mr. Gartner's junior golf program so the camp has a familial feel.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The camp will be led by Monmouth University's Men's Head Coach Alex Kasarov and Monmouth Men's Assistant Coach, Michael Schwartz. Kasarov was awarded MAAC Conference Coach of the Year in 2017, for leading the men's team to it's back-to-back conference titles (2016 and 2017). Prior to joining Monmouth, Kasarov was Men's Assistant Coach at Davidson College in North Carolina, and Volunteer Women's Assistant Coach at Northwestern University.

In his years before college coaching, Kasarov was a private tennis coach where he worked with top nationally ranked junior players. During his collegiate career, Kasarov was a key member of the University of Wisconsin Men's Tennis Team, competing at the number 1 spot in both Singles and Doubles for three straight years. He was named Team Captain his junior year and earned All-Big Ten honors. In addition, Kasarov earned MVP honors that year and was recipient of the Big Ten Conference Sportsmanship Award. Nationally, Kasarov was ranked as high as eight in Doubles during his career.

Schwartz' tennis career started at the University of Alabama, after being highly ranked as a junior player. In his senior season of 1966 at Alabama, Schwartz had his best year for The Crimson Tide, with a season record of 20-6, while being named Honorable Mention All-SEC.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Campers will spend four hour on the university's tennis courts and an hour in the classroom daily. The camp is designed to help each camper improve skills, while gaining a better understanding of the sport through a variety of drills and strategy sessions, including a special focus on doubles play. The camp will hold a maximum camper to coach ratio of 5 to 1, and participants will be grouped according to ability and age to attain maximum benefits of instruction. In addition to the Monmouth Coaching staff, NCAA D1 players will be part of the coaching councilors.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our New Providence facility houses large rehearsal studios, dance rooms, and lesson rooms. Our Musical Theater Camp is held at the campus of The Pingry School in Basking Ridge, where we rehearse and perform in spacious dance rooms, 2 main-stage theaters, and choir rooms. We have lunch in a large, sunny cafeteria.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Musical Theater Camp: In the morning we participate in skill-based classes in dance, acting and musical theater. After lunch there is a "wildcard" session in which we do something different each day. Past wildcards have included: master classes with Billy Elliot's (and the new film of Annie's) Stephanie Kurtzuba, master classes with film, T.V. and Broadway casting directors Paul Russell and Bobby Cline, workshop with technical director Brian Lynch, Hip-Hop Choreography, Theater Dance with Laura Chaneski, Playwriting, Poster Design, Musical Theater History and Voice Class.

The last two hours of camp is our Performance Workshop, where we will be preparing for our performance which will be held on the Friday night at the end of each session on a professional stage. Our staff boasts extensive professional credits including Broadway, Off-Broadway, National Tours, regional theater, concert stage, television, film, and commercials. One of our young campers from last summer went directly from our camp to a starring role on Broadway as Lulu in Sarah Bareilles' hit musical Waitress! She performed a number that she had learned at our camp during her Waitress audition.

The New Jersey Jazz Academy at Elefante Music hosts 2 summer camps: Elefante All-Star Jazz Ensemble Camp and Jammin' Jazz Juniors Camp. These camps are unique opportunities for experienced jazz players. Students will pick up solid skills to enhance their school ensembles Both camps culminate in a Friday night performance on the last day of camp.

Dance/Drama Intensive Camp: In Dance Intensive, students: - Learn a variety of dance styles - Improve overall technique - Take classes in: Ballet, Tap, Lyrical, Jazz, Modern, Hip Hop, Musical Theater & More! - Rehearse for the Dance Performance at end of week! In Drama Intensive, students explore: - Acting/Improv Games - Character Development, Set Design & Costumes, Props - Get their own part, script and lines - Rehearse for a play to be performed at the end of the week.

At Rock Band Camp campers will play in a wide range of contemporary musical styles (rock, R&B, soul, etc.) and will learn what it's like to be "studio musicians" - artists who provide backing for bands and soloists in recording studios and in live performances. At our NEW Percussion Camp, percussionists will work with internationally recognized guest artists and clinicians in many different percussion disciplines.

Acting for the Camera Camp: Here's a unique and fun opportunity to study the techniques used by film, television, and commercial actors. Learn how to make the camera work for you. Each camper will receive his/her own video "reel" at the end of the camp.

Just Strings Camp is a week dedicated to violin, viola, cello, and bass players! Play fun pieces in an ensemble setting. Improve intonation and create a beautiful tone.

The Camp Louemma program is specifically designed to meet the diverse and ever-expanding recreational needs and interests of our campers. Because our emphasis is on participation, personal achievement and skill attainment rather than on competition alone, campers of every age and skill level are made to feel comfortable and successful.

Through the use of scheduled activity periods and structured electives, each camper can experience a well-rounded program that includes athletics, aquatics, creative and performing arts and outdoor adventure. Our elective program allows each camper to have direct input into their daily schedule. During elective periods campers may wish to try new activities, concentrate on their favorite ones or enhance their existing skills by participating in individualized instruction or clinics. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: At age 15 we offer a Camper-Worker program where every other day the campers help the wait staff in our dining room. This program trains our campers for the following year when they become staff members at age 16. This program is called the WIT program (Workers In Training) where 16 and 17 year olds work as waiters and waitresses in our dining room.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Two-time Olympic gold medalist Carli Lloyd will be holding her seventh annual soccer camp from 9am-1pm on August 9, 2014 in Lumberton, NJ.

Young soccer players ages 9 to 18 will have the unique opportunity to learn from the United States’ midfielder and her longtime training staff. Carli will be on site all day sharing stories and demonstrating the techniques that have allowed her to compete at the highest level.

August 9th marks the 2 year anniversary of the gold medal match between the US Women’s National Team and Japan in which the US was victorious with a score of 2-1 (both US goals netted by Carli Lloyd).

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: CAMP REIGN is a State Licensed Day Camp and accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA). 3) Senior Academy - Designed for High School players, including incoming freshmen, who are ready to play and be trained at the next level. . Throughout the week, players will be put in a competitive environment that will bring out their very best. Players will be exposed to the four dimensions of training, Physical, Technical, Tactical and Psychological. In our unique evening competitions, players will have the opportunity to compete against other teams, other players and themselves.

4) College Prep Academy - Our goal is to provide an incredible environment where serious soccer players will be exposed to the highest level of instruction in anticipation of playing at the highest level possible. High Performance Seminars will be led by trusted experts in their field and will include: Sports Nutrition, Soccer Specific Conditioning, ACT/SAT Preparation and Sport Psychology. Goalkeepers and field players will be exposed to an intensive training environment for those who are serious about fulfilling their potential.

5) College Showcase Camps - Now available for the serious soccer player at select No.1 Soccer Camp sites throughout the country. The directors of our College ID Showcase Camps are all currently active college coaches. In addition, the College Showcase ID Camps allow you to be seen by, and to work directly with college coaches and their assistants from programs all over the US. The philosophy of the College Showcase ID Camps is to provide you with a more intimate environment from which to experience what College coaches expect from their players.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our directors are professional, certified by the State of New Jersey educators with backgrounds in teacher and theater-arts. They teach in area school districts working with children from ages 6 - 15.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Starting now kids ages three to 14 can enroll in an array of summer camp experiences available from June 15 – September 4, 2015 at Middletown Arts Center (MAC). MAC Camp goes beyond typical summer offerings with creative arts and STEM oriented programs, available the entire summer in half or full day sessions, with per week options. A free, supervised lunch period is included for children who sign up for both a morning and afternoon camp, creating a full day of creative fun.
