CAMP FACILITIES: All trips begin at a designated airport. Students explore the most scenic and beautiful places in a particular region, and travel between activity sites in brand-new, 15-passenger vans. We spend each night in a tent, and students learn how to cook in the backcountry—with plenty of guidance from our instructors! They go backpacking, camping, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, ziplining, ice climbing, canoeing, sea kayaking, inflatable kayaking, mountaineering, and mountain biking.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Marci Haney,Owner: A native of San Antonio Texas, Mrs. Maricela Martinez Haney graduated from Holmes High School. In 1988, she attended a dance competition where she was selected as Miss American Dance Team out of 300 hundred soloist. She continued her dance career by auditioning to perform with the Guadalupe Dance Company. She has had the privilege to work with renowned dancers Felipe De la Rosa, Javier Villegas, La Chique, Raul Valdez, Ricardo Munuz and the City of San Antonio on the Arneson River Theater for 20 years. Mrs. Haney’s professional training led her to perform with Guadalupe Dance Company where she was offered a job touring the Country.

Mrs. Haney moved to Salem in 2004 and started “The Studio” in 2006 she joined the Courthouse Athletic Club to find a home for her Dance Studio but in June 2011, she opened the Doors to the The Lotus Studio to make a permanent home for both her Youth Dance Students and her Adult Students.

In addition to her 51 years of experience, she is CPR certified and she is a Multi-Certified 500E-RYT Yoga Alliance Registered Yoga Instructor she teaches Vinyasa Flow Yoga ,Yin Yoga ,Power Yoga, Senior Yoga, Chair Yoga and Tai Chi. She holds multiple Zumba licenses: including Zumba, Zumba Gold, Zumba Toning, Aqua Zumba and Zumbatomic. She also holds multiple certifications to teach the Senior population: Silver and Fit, Silver Sneakers and Senior Stretch.

Marci is happily married to Mike Haney and they share three children. She strives to bring enjoyment through her own love of dance and fitness while inspiring students of all levels to reach their potential.

Katerina Romanenko, Ph.D. Assistant Director of Youth and Family Programs

An experienced educator and visual culture historian, Dr. Romanenko specializes in Museum education, art history, American History, and object-based learning in formal and informal environments. She holds a PhD in Art History from the City University of New York and for more than 15 years teaches art history and works in Museum education. She also holds a BA in Education Sciences and has experience in research, development and implementation of educational programs for different age groups.

Alicia Mino, Art Educator, Manager of the School and Community Programs

An accomplished practicing artists and art educator, Alicia Mino received her Master’s in visual communication from the Metropolitan University of Chile, She spent fifteen years in Italy studying art history, oil painting, and sculpture. She presented in numerous art exhibitions and founded the Mates Art and Design Studio, where she taught drawing, oil/acrylic painting, and sculpture fundamentals for ten years. In 2008 Alicia moved to Philadelphia where she continues to exhibit her work and teaches art.

Lindsey Murphy, Art Educator and K-8 Program Coordinator

An art educator with over a decade of experience in the field of education, Lindsey Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology; concentration in Archaeology from Millersville University, and an Elementary Teaching Certification from Millersville University. She worked as a general education classroom teacher in the Oxford Area School District in Chester County, PA for 8 years, and has worked in PAFA’s education department over the past 11 years creating and implementing numerous museum tours and art making experiences for children and families of all backgrounds, becoming the K-8 Program Coordinator in 2019..

Melissa Hendrixson, Art Educator

Melissa Hendrixson is an artist and art educator who has worked in Museum Education for over five years. She has her Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Studio Certificate from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and has gained experience through assisting the coordination and development of various museum programming including family programs, youth art classes, and summer camps. She now works for the School and Community Partnership Program as an art educator where she develops and implements museum tours, school lessons, and community outreach programs to support student learning, parental engagement and visual literacy initiatives.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The YMA Leadership program includes a training and mentorship program designed for older students who have finished the 9th grade. All high school students are YMA Counselors in Training (CITs), and have many opportunities to learn from the high school and college camp counselors on the staff, as well as daily leadership classes with the top camp administrators. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Active Learning Services, Ltd operates enrichment programs designed to stimulate creative thinking, improve thinking, logic and memory skills and give children "thinking alternatives" to sports camps and other summer programs. Our staff is, comprised of the best children's chess instructors in North America! The USA Chess camps are uniquely qualified to cater to the needs of the advanced scholastic player as well as the true beginner. USA Chess hit its first milestone in the summer of 2000 producing the largest chess camp ever held in the United States, with more than 250 students enrolled. What was most surprising, however, was the amount of absolute beginners in attendance - more than 50% of the total enrollment was just starting to play chess. CAMP FACILITIES: Tilikum's Illahee Retreat Center provides hotel-style accommodations for up to 60 guests with comfortable meeting and dining rooms. Our rustic tent campsite, Northridge accommodates up to 56 guests in platform tents with a covered meeting area and amphitheater fire pit. We have a multipurpose building, the Fawver Center, which accommodates up to 125 guests in a variety of ways and includes a single-basketball court, Rock Wall and fire pit.

A Century-old Schoolhouse sits on top the hillside providing a great opportunity for teachers and children to explore and learn together, in an old-school setting. The 15-acre lake with the 93 acres provides groups with many outdoor recreation activities, customizable to meet your needs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Tilikum differentiate ourselves by providing outstanding service, a serene setting and a safe environment. We are member of the American Camp Association and Christian Camp and Conference Association where policies, procedures and standards are implemented to ensure great programming and safety for everyone.

Each Challenge Course facilitator is carefully trained for leadership and safety on the challenge course, providing your group with the highest quality experiential adventure. All facilitators hold a current certification recognized by the Association for Challenge Course Technology. Our Camp Program Director thoroughly interviews and reviews references for each Summer Staff team member. They train altogether onsite for two-weeks to enhance the skills, learn new ones and form a unity amongst themselves which builds the wonderful Day Camp, and Adventure Camp programs that we have had for over 30 years.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Tilikum Center for Retreats and Outdoor Ministries sponsors 6 family-oriented retreats: Mother & Daughter (May), Father & Son (June,optional 2nd weekend), Single Mom's Family Camp (July), Father & Daughter (August), Mother & Son (August).

Each retreat offers the parents and child(ren) opportunities to enhance relationships through scripture learning, outdoor recreation activities and just being in the presence of one another for a weekend.

At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: At MehtA+, we ignite student passion for engineering. Our offerings are catered towards students from Kindergarten to College Freshman and involve a fusion of the humanities and the sciences. We believe the best way to learn something is to apply it and as such, all of our opportunities are application-based.

Our bootcamps give students an in-depth opportunity to learn concepts that are normally taught at the university level, while our workshops serve as a fantastic introduction to a new subject. In order to make engineering education more accessible, our digital kits are always free to everyone and allow students to create something awesome. Volunteerships are offered to former students who are looking to volunteer their time and apply what they have learned for social good, as they intern for one of our clients.

Our college preparatory services, which involve subject tutoring, standardized test preparation and college consulting, provide students the resources they need to be ready for college.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a large covered arena, perfect for riding and all other horse activities. Our clean, organized facility offers a safe and fun setting for learning about horses. We always put safety first when working with the horses to ensure a fun, worry-free experience!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp kids will enjoy a fun, educational experience learning and participating in basic horse care, safety around horses, grooming, riding horses & ponies, groundwork, driving miniature horses, and more! While our larger horses and ponies offer the fun of learning to ride, our miniature horses and foals are always a delight and are the perfect size for kids to interact with! CAMP FACILITIES: Our SUNY Purchase College location is a sprawling 500-acre campus located in the heart of beautiful Westchester County. It offers endless acres of playing fields, training areas, and 2 new floodlit turf, football, and baseball fields. As many as six full soccer fields, 12 short-sided fields, and NCAA regulation baseball and softball diamonds are expertly maintained for daily use. Facilities also include 14 newly-surfaced deco tennis courts (6 lighted), 3 full indoor, and 3 outdoor basketball courts.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have a rustic barn where learning events are held on rainy or cold days with outdoor picnic benches near the pond on warm days. With acres of trees to walk through, a beautiful forest and pasture land, Ballyntyne Learning farm is truly a place of retreat for both families and our day-campers.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Originally, the farm served as a Christmas tree farm with the first trees planted by my parents, Steve and Linda Kreitzberg in the 1980s. Since then, the Kreitzberg family has been operating the farm every Christmas season and finding joy serving as a place that offers families a place to have fun and usher in this important holiday of giving.

In 2016, the Kreitzberg family began brainstorming about how to use the farm as a place of retreat for children and young adults. After long dinner discussions, the core idea for Ballyntyne Learning Farm was born: to offer a place of learning for children and youth who are traditionally faced with additional hardships in life, whether that be physical, learning, developmental, familial or behavioral differences. We dreamed of a place where all are welcome to learn, play and find acceptance. With these dreams, Ballyntyne Learning Farm was born.

Our most commonly held camp, PTFC Rec Camps will teach players the fundamentals of the game and allow participants to grow love for and experience how fun soccer can truly be. PTFC Camps is proud to present these elite camp offerings with Timbers players and brothers, Diego and Yimmi Chara. Campers will have the unique opportunity to train with and learn from the Chara Bros as well as our staff of licensed coaches. Timbers and Thorns Residential Camps

The Portland Timbers and Thorns' Residential Camps are specifically designed to provide an experience of what it's like to train and compete like collegiate and professional athletes. Our residential camps are recommended to all future Timbers/Thorns Academy players, ODP players, club players, high school players/teams, and players looking to play at the collegiate level. Players will be trained and evaluated by Portland Timbers/Thorns Academy, ODP, and RTC coaching staff. This camp is open to individuals, and club or high school teams.

Goalkeeper and Striker Training Camps

CAMP FACILITIES: Big Lake Youth Camp's lakefront property is a pristine and convenient location for activities of all types. Just steps from our Lodge is the lake where campers get to experience aquatic activities such as waterskiing, wakeboarding, swimming, canoeing and much more! Abba's Child:
This free week of camp is specifically designed for kids who have experienced the death of an immediate family member in the recent past. Abba’s Child campers get to hang out with other kids who know what they are going through, participate in support-based counseling, and get to experience many of the awesome activities Big Lake offers. Whether you would like to nominate someone to attend, or donate to keep this camp going, we’d love to hear from you. Our goal for Abba's Child is to offer a place where kids can meet others experiencing similar emotions, receive accepting support from professionals, and have a blast at camp.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: RAD to Staff:
Big Lake Youth Camp's RAD to Staff program is designed specifically for teens ages 15-17. As a RAD to Staff camper, teens are given special leadership training while experiencing one of our awesome RAD Camp activities alongside fellow campers. Through mentorship with a Big Lake Youth Camp staff member, RAD to Staff campers will develop valuable leadership skills and knowledge. Upon successful completion of the RAD to Staff program, campers will be given a certificate of achievement. If you are interested in working at Big Lake Youth Camp someday, participation in this program is recommended because it helps you see what it takes to work at Big Lake and it allows our staff to get to know you in a unique and important way.

Counselor in Training (CIT):
As a Counselor in Training you will be assigned to assist one of our amazing Big Lake counselors with their cabin of 7-9 year old campers. This camp will give you the incredible opportunity to observe and experience first-hand what is involved in being a camp counselor. The focus of this camp is learning what it takes to be a staff member in charge of supervising campers. We hope as a CIT you will learn skills that can be used throughout your life and enable you to work more effectively with children.

Staff in Training (SIT):
As a SUT you will have the opportunity to observe and try out a number of staff positions including instructor of land activities (examples: art, digital photography, drama, survival adventures), instructor of water activities (examples: swimming, canoeing, waterskiing), office/headquarters staff and maintenance staff. SITs are not able to observe camp counselors. Please sign up for the CIT camp if you would like to experience being a counselor. SIT campers are asked what type of job they are interested in, and they are able to try it out! We hope this camp will help you learn life skills such as organization, work ethic, personability, and effective child communication. Have fun while you work side by side with Big Lake staff as your mentors.

Wrangler in Training (WIT):
Experience the fun of camp while learning what it would be like to work at Big Lake! As a Wrangler in Training you will have the opportunity to shadow and work with Big Lake’s awesome wranglers and beautiful horses. You will be able to assist Big Lake’s wranglers as they teach campers in our horsemanship program. If you are passionate about horses and are interested in working at Big Lake someday, this camp is a great fit for you because it allows our staff to get to know you and your skills! Please note that some basic horse experience is required for this camp.

*NOTE: Participation in the RAD to Staff, CIT, SIT and WIT programs does not guarantee a future position as a Big Lake Staff Member. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Teen In Ministries: TIMs are paired with a member of our counseling staff or of the TIM Leadership staff. Together they love the campers with God's love and serve the camp. TIMs are given different duties depending on what area of camp they are working in. TIMs may rotate between being paired with a group of campers at horse camp, day camp, or overnight camps, or participating on the Service Team--a group of TIMs and leadership staff who minister to our guest groups and other areas of need around the camp.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Summer counselors, kitchen staff, ranch hands, riding instructors, and REC staff are a huge part of our ministry during the summer. We hire around 25 counselors, 5 lifeguards, and many hands in the kitchen, and 45 TIMs (Teens in Ministry) throughout the summer, so approximately 100 staff each summer.

Internships involve future leaders in the hands-on tasks of Christian camping—planning, counseling, event hosting, and food service—supplemented with classes on Bible, counseling, and ministry. It is a 2 year program and normally have 3-5 interns each year.

Volunteers impact lives by utilizing their God-given abilities to serve others.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Two Roads believes that outdoor happiness deepens awareness, kinship and adventure. We strive to provide the tools necessary to empower young women to be confident leaders both in the outdoors and within their communities. We work to broaden their horizon of possibilities so that they have the courage and ability to blaze their own roads in life.

Having served as senior staff for camp programs with Outdoor School, Campfire and Girl Scouts, our directors have decades of experience developing the leadership capabilities of young teen leaders. CAMP FACILITIES: Alpengirl campers sleep in 3-4 person backpacking style tents, we practice outdoor living, cooking, and Leave No Trace skills. A majority of our campsites have bathroom and running water and are located in gorgeous wilderness settings in mountains, next to fresh water streams, and by pristine lakes.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Alpengirl Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA) and has a staff to camper ratio of 1:4 or 1:6. Our camp is highly supervised with small groups of 12 girls led by 2-3 adult female role model Alpenguides. Alpenguides are all 21+ and hold certifications in Wilderness First Aid and CPR.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Mission Statement: To improve the lives of people who have communication difficulties and related disorders by providing services, education, training and research.

Meadowood Springs is a 501(c) (3) nonprofit organization. It started as an idea for four University of Oregon students in 1962 and in 1964 the camp finally opened to serve children 6-16 with special needs.

Campers receive therapy from student clinicians who are gathering clinical hours toward their CCC's or from Speech- Language Assistants. All staff is supervised by a Master Clinician. All other staff is supervised by the Camp Director.
