TYPE OF CAMP: Overnight/Sleepaway. Day Camp. Daily 9:00 AM-3:00 PM, Overnight trips vary from weekend to weeklong
CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.
BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Leaps n Boundz offers children and teens with special needs the opportunity to explore new places, make new friends, and try new things. At Camp Leaps n Boundz we make every camp day one to remember. Our day camp hours are Monday-Friday, 9:00 AM-3:00 PM.
Camp activities include:
Arts and crafts
Sports and games
Gymnastics
Nature hikes and activities
Recreation activities including yoga, dance, martial arts, and special theme days
Field trips
Surfing and Beach days
Swimming
So much more!
During each camp day, pro-social behaviors and socialization are encouraged to help make those lasting camp relationships!
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Camp Leaps n Boundz is a fun, active camp for children and teens with special needs. We welcome children of all abilities to participate in our day and overnight camps!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Basketball, Football, Weightloss, Soccer, Golf, Gymnastics, Swimming, Waterfront/Aquatics, Volleyball, Martial Arts, Team Sports, Travel, Wilderness/Nature, and more. We Also Surf & Go On Weekly Field Trips.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located on the Westside of Los Angeles near Playa Vista and Marina del Rey. We are looking forward to opening a West Los Angeles location soon!
CAMP FACILITIES: Our home base is in a gymnastics gym with rooms and facilities for extra camp fun.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our highly trained staff specialize in caring for children and teens with special needs in the recreation environment. We have one staff per 3 children every day to cater to the safety and needs of our campers. Our programming is centered on each camper having a fun, safe, pro-social day in which new experiences can be grasped!
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We offer camp internships to individuals who have graduated from high school. This growing opportunity allows the intern to learn from seasoned staff and advance into a paid position in the second session of camp.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We offer Day Camps and overnight trips throughout the year, especially during school breaks such as Winter Break, Spring Break, and more!
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Day Camp Session 1: June 15-July 11
Day Camp Session 2: July 20-August 14
Overnight trips vary and include May 23-25, June 8-12, July 24-26, and August 3-7
