BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Carlsbad Art Farm is a small visual arts school tucked away on a beautiful streamside woodland property in north coastal San Diego county. Winner of Red Tricycle’s “Most Awesome Camp for Kids in Socal” award for the past three years, Art Farm’s unique blend of outstanding art instruction in the woods with a menagerie of farm animals has enchanted local students and families for the past 14-years. CAMP LOCATION: Getting to Art Farm is a small adventure and it always delights families to discover our idyllic hideaway in middle of an urban setting. We are located down a farm road and across a wood bridge on 10-acres of private, creekside woodland property in north coastal San Diego County, CA, near the Village of Carlsbad. CAMP FACILITIES: Our woodland habitat is a beautiful setting where students work with local artists in outdoor base camp studios, inside our Imaginarium Print Studio and barn, down by the creek, and along side a menagerie of kid friendly farm animals. We use our habitat as a living classroom to engage students in the creative process. One parent described the Art Farm setting as being "like a national park and a zoo combined."
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Carlsbad Art Farm's mission is simple: to inspire and encourage a deep connection to animals and the natural world through traditional studio art education.
Many local families have a long association with Art Farm, sending their kids annually to our camps until they age out. Some former campers return during their high school years because they love Art Farm and want to continue being part of the Art Farm family. Because our program offers high quality, skill-building instruction at multiple grade levels, students may return annually to continue building on skills they've learned here. Over the years we have also welcomed vacationing students from throughout the United States and abroad.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Carlsbad Art Farm offers classes and workshops for children and adults during the academic school year. To stay in the loop, visit our website and join our mailing list at the bottom of the homepage. We only send messages to announce classes, workshops and summer camps.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Camp sessions are one week (Mon-Fri). Hours are 9:30AM – 3PM. Camp sessions begin June 18, 2018, and continue through Aug. 10. Camps are open to students starting grades 2-8 next fall. For complete information and online enrollment, visit our website summer camp page.
SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Experienced visual arts and environmental education instructors local to Carlsbad may inquire about openings for the summer camp season by emailing director[AT]CarlsbadArtFarm.com. Inquires must include a resume and cover letter. Please visit our website page before applying. All positions at Art Farm require working outdoors, hiking, lifting, and lots of standing. Live scan fingerprinting is required.
