CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Trinity has four dormitories, with two cabins in each dorm. Each cabin houses eleven campers and one counselor. Other program facilities include a covered recreation building, an outdoor recreation field, a challenge course, a Youth Assembly building, and a Pavilion on the ocean side.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Trinity offers traditional camping programs that offer a balance of supervised group activities and individual free time.

Some of the daily activities include: swimming instruction, sailing and canoeing, Christian Education, a variety of sports, evening programs (singing, skits, dances, games, etc.), worship, arts and crafts, elective shareshops, and challenge course/group initiatives.

Each day ends with the sharing of the day's events, stories, and singing on the oceanside Pavilion or around the campfire.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Offering the same resources and activities as the resident camp, the day camp is a less expensive alternative to the resident camp, and a great option for younger campers who are not yet ready for the overnight camp experience.

Our North Carolina basketball camp provides lunch for all of our day campers, beginning with the first day of camp through their final day. Parents are required to drop off and pick up your campers on time every day from the Smith Center.

The ILC Leadership program is designed for young teens age 13-15 who are enrolled in the language camps.
Leadership participants enjoy the language camp, at the same time they are given extra responsibilities to practice, develop and demonstrate their leadership skills.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Since 1916, Keystone Camp has encouraged and supported girls to become strong individuals. Teaching Keystone campers life-long skills and values in a fun and nurturing environment is the hallmark of the Keystone Camp experience. Keystone camp for girls strives to develop the total girl on an individual basis, offering excellent programs in horsemanship, daily horseback riding, tennis, land sports, water sports on two lakes, gymnastics, arts and crafts, dramatics, rock climbing and hiking in Pisgah National Forest.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Being a counselor is no ordinary job and we are not looking to employ just ordinary people. When we hire staff for the summer we look for people that will form the foundation that we base our entire community on. We look for people that we believe would make strong, positive role models in the lives of our campers and be leaders and mentors within our small community.

The residential setting means that every choice you make will be observed and potentially replicated by the girls in your care. Do you feel that your behavior is role model worthy? You will be giving up a great deal of privacy and comfort, working long and demanding hours, adhering to camp policies which you may find very limiting (curfews, time on, time off, lack of privacy, no smoking, no drinking alcohol, etc). OTHER CAMP INFO: The inaugural NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Cathedral Praise in Charleston, SC will run July 29-August 2, 2013 and will be directed by James Lee as well as other staff.

This camp will focus on individual skill development with our morning skill stations and afternoon 3 on 3 Cut Throat League. Each camper will also play in one 5 on 5 game and participate in our Living by Numbers contests each day. This summer camp is a perfect way to prepare for your school, church, rec or AAU season. All NIKE basketball camps maintain a player to coach ratio of 8:1 and is staffed by high school and collegiate coaches as well as college players.

This camp is limited to the first 64 boys that register and is for ages 14-18 (entering grades 9th-12th). The camp fee is $245 per player.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have seventeen single-person "Opti" sailboats for younger sailors and twelve two-person "420" sailboats for sailors 12 to 16 years old. We will have at least four instructors on the water, each in their own coach boat.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Carolina Sailing Foundation is a non-profit corporation with the single purpose to promote the sport of sailing, and has been teaching people how to sail for almost two decades. Summer camp is led by sailors who are US Sailing Level 1 Small Boat Certified instructors. More than 170 kids learned how to sail and had a great time at our 2022 Summer Sailing Camp.

Katerina Romanenko, Ph.D. Assistant Director of Youth and Family Programs

An experienced educator and visual culture historian, Dr. Romanenko specializes in Museum education, art history, American History, and object-based learning in formal and informal environments. She holds a PhD in Art History from the City University of New York and for more than 15 years teaches art history and works in Museum education. She also holds a BA in Education Sciences and has experience in research, development and implementation of educational programs for different age groups.

Alicia Mino, Art Educator, Manager of the School and Community Programs

An accomplished practicing artists and art educator, Alicia Mino received her Master’s in visual communication from the Metropolitan University of Chile, She spent fifteen years in Italy studying art history, oil painting, and sculpture. She presented in numerous art exhibitions and founded the Mates Art and Design Studio, where she taught drawing, oil/acrylic painting, and sculpture fundamentals for ten years. In 2008 Alicia moved to Philadelphia where she continues to exhibit her work and teaches art.

Lindsey Murphy, Art Educator and K-8 Program Coordinator

An art educator with over a decade of experience in the field of education, Lindsey Murphy has a Bachelor of Arts degree in Anthropology; concentration in Archaeology from Millersville University, and an Elementary Teaching Certification from Millersville University. She worked as a general education classroom teacher in the Oxford Area School District in Chester County, PA for 8 years, and has worked in PAFA’s education department over the past 11 years creating and implementing numerous museum tours and art making experiences for children and families of all backgrounds, becoming the K-8 Program Coordinator in 2019..

Melissa Hendrixson, Art Educator

Melissa Hendrixson is an artist and art educator who has worked in Museum Education for over five years. She has her Bachelor's of Fine Arts and Studio Certificate from Pennsylvania Academy of the Fine Arts and has gained experience through assisting the coordination and development of various museum programming including family programs, youth art classes, and summer camps. She now works for the School and Community Partnership Program as an art educator where she develops and implements museum tours, school lessons, and community outreach programs to support student learning, parental engagement and visual literacy initiatives.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Rockmont for Boys, residential/day, is an interdenominational Christian summer in Western North Carolina with a focus on male development. Activities include camping, hiking, kayaking, blacksmithing, homesteading, canoeing, crafts, guitar, and more! Campers live in a cabin of 8-12 boys their age, select 4 skills to learn and develop, and participate in large-group activities with their age group. Rockmont seeks to foster a better understanding and respect for self and others; an appreciation and concern for the environment; greater self-reliance, self-respect, self-confidence, and self-esteem; stronger Christian values; and a greater understanding of the life and teachings of Jesus Christ.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our Catalyst Leadership program welcomes 16 year old young men into a larger world. We focus on skills and responsibilities that young men need to master as they transition into adulthood.

The Service & Leadership Corps is a volunteer program specifically designed for 16-18 year olds as a bridge between the camper and staff experiences. Corps members serve in the dining hall and kitchen and assist with program activities throughout camp. The Corps also enjoys its own adventures which can include mountain biking, rock climbing, skiing, hiking, and more!

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our camps give campers an innovative start to learning how to code, robotics, and engineering. Our weekly camps include a variety of STEM activities. Exploring digital art, App design, and robotics! Learning all about motors, sensors, and power! Most of all campers will create, design, and build their own projects and take them home! CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our Staff wants to offer every opportunity that we can to improve the technical side of a swimmers starts, strokes and turns. As these tips, tricks, and corrections turn into great habit based strokes, you can see an improved distance per stroke and an increase of efficiency per race. Each clinic is dedicated to one stroke at a time so that we can ensure that the technique work will become habits in their daily practices. It is important that each swimmer brings their snorkel so we can focus more on the body line and rotation at the beginning and add progress into the breath.

We will use underwater cameras with a TIVO delayed replay so that swimmers can see what they are doing. We use video of world class swimmers that train in our facility to compare "side by side" with each swimmer's technique

CAMP FACILITIES: PARI offers a state-of-the-art research building with optical and radio telescopes, various earth science instruments and the Astronomical Photographic Data Archive. PARI is used by thousands of researchers, educators and students who have benefited from our programs. Secrets of a Spy Station
Encrypted messages, codes, and ciphers!
What better setting than PARI, which once operated as a spy station for the Department of Defense during the Cold War, where messages were being intercepted and deciphered? Another element in the sending of secrets is how you transport them from place to place. We’ll take a look at the technologies, both past and present, that allow information to zip out to distant satellites and back down to Earth. How do we make sure our sensitive transmissions don’t end up in the wrong hands?

CAMP FACILITIES: All trips begin at a designated airport. Students explore the most scenic and beautiful places in a particular region, and travel between activity sites in brand-new, 15-passenger vans. We spend each night in a tent, and students learn how to cook in the backcountry—with plenty of guidance from our instructors! They go backpacking, camping, whitewater rafting, rock climbing, whitewater kayaking, ziplining, ice climbing, canoeing, sea kayaking, inflatable kayaking, mountaineering, and mountain biking.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have modern cabin with air conditioning for those hot summer nights. In our community kitchen, we pride on healthy meals everyday. Hobbit Hill has an indoor/outdoor area for horseback riding. This way camper can ride in most weather situations. Along with riding, we offer arts and crafts, sports, zip lining, rafting, night trail rides, and more.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our goal is to make sure young campers will leave Camp Hobbit Hill with friendships that they can build on for a lifetime, a better sense of who they are, and more confidence that they can successfully meet the challenges they face in the coming year.

Campers will get 4 1/2 hours of riding time 6 days a week. After first day of camp, each rider will get paired up with a horse based on ability and experience. During riding time, you will have lessons in fundamentals, hunter-jumping techniques, and trail riding. Our riding facility has an indoor riding arena for rainy days. OTHER CAMP INFO: The annual NIKE Boys Basketball Camp at Academic Magnet in North Charleston, SC will run July 22-26, 2013 and will be directed by James Lee as well as other staff.

This camp will focus on individual skill development with our morning skill stations and afternoon 3 on 3 Cut Throat League. Each camper will also play in one 5 on 5 game and participate in our Living by Numbers contests each day. This summer camp is a perfect way to prepare for your school, church, rec or AAU season. All NIKE basketball camps maintain a player to coach ratio of 8:1 and is staffed by high school and collegiate coaches as well as college players.

This camp is limited to the first 64 boys that register and is for ages 9-15 (entering grades 4th-9th). The camp fee is $250 per player.

CAMP FACILITIES: SOAR has two major Base Camp facilities: one in Balsam North Carolina where we have rustic cabins, a dining pavilion, on site showers/bathrooms, high and low ropes course, as well as several gathering campfire locations. The other is in Dubois Wyoming, where we have similar amenities as above except, this base camp is a working horse ranch!

S.A.L.T. stands for Servant And Leadership Training. S.A.L.T. focuses on teaching valuable leadership skills and putting them to the test through service. Participants will spend the first part of the week developing their leadership skills and enjoying some of the favorite Rockfish activities. In their second part of the week, participants will have opportunities to practice their leadership skills through service experiences both at Rockfish and on the road. This allows our S.A.L.T. participants to grow their faith, challenge their leadership, and cultivate lasting friendships.

Family Camp is for everyone! Join us for family fun and experience a taste of summer camp with your family for the Fourth of July holiday. CAMP FACILITIES: The training facilities at Duke University are among the best in the nation. Morris Williams Track and Field Stadium is located on the west side of Kennedy Tower, sharing the press box with Koskinen Stadium, and is the new home to Duke Track and Field.

The track features a BSS 1000 track surface, constructed by Beynon Sports. Encompassing the track is a walkway, allowing spectators to view any event in the stadium, and bleachers are located next to the finish line. For field events, two long/triple jump runways are located inside the home straight with sand pits on both sides to accommodate changes in wind. Inside the back straight are two pole vault runways, with two additional runways located in the D-area. The D-area will also hold dual high jump pits. The infield also accommodates all throwing events, boasting two shot put areas, a javelin runway and a combined hammer and discus cage. Protective nets have been placed along the long/triple jump and pole runways for added safety.

Campers will be able to experience campus life on one of the most beautiful college campuses in the nation. They will get to stay in double dorm rooms on Duke's gothic style west campus. Breakfast, lunch and dinner will be served in the main cafeteria (Great Hall). All meals will be buffet style.

Camp Director Shawn Wilbourn is currently in his eighth season as a member of the Duke Track & Field coaching staff after joining the Blue Devils following the Olympic Trials in July of 2008. Wilbourn works with Duke’s combined-event, pole vault and sprints and hurdles student-athletes.

CAMP FACILITIES: City Ballet has 3 studios. All studios are mirrored and equipped with sprung wood or Marley flooring. For student convenience, we have a carpeted dressing room with cubbies for belongings and two large ladies’ rooms and a men’s room. We also offer a quiet, brightly lit homework area for our students with demanding school responsibilities. Seating for waiting parents and siblings is available in our lobby and throughout the space.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: City Ballet was founded in 1991 with the philosophy of encouraging musicality, fostering creative expression, and teaching an appreciation of dance’s form and aesthetic. Its goal is to enable all students to experience the joy of dance and performance while attaining professional technique and style. Since its inception, City Ballet has been dedicated to training students in the Cecchetti Syllabus of classical ballet and remains the singular facility offering this method in the Triangle.

Classes are offered in ballet, pointe, modern, jazz, tap, and hip-hop. Additionally, numerous workshops are presented to expose students to different dance genres beyond the classical curriculum. City Ballet offers students the opportunity to perform in two full-length productions each year - The Nutcracker by audition and a spring recital.

The school also participates in festivals and workshops. Some of the most recent stage appearances include those at The American Heart Association’s Triangle Heart Ball, Festival of North Carolina Dance, AT&T’s Winterfest and Lafayette Village's Tree Lighting.

Preschool Dance is the beginning of a lifetime of dance appreciation. It is the essence of using imagination and exploration as building blocks for a dance foundation. Students focus on gross motor skills (skipping, hopping and jumping) through musicality and movement.
