CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Sergei Beloglasov
Sergei Beloglasov is considered by many to be one of the best wrestlers and technicians of all time! Competing for the Soviet Union, Beloglazov dominated the 57 kg division during the 1980's. He won Olympic gold medals at the 1980 Olympic Games in Moscow and the 1988 Olympic Games in Barcelona & also claimed six World Championship gold medals (1981, 1982, 1983, 1985, 1986, 1987). His amazing gold-medal winning streak was only interrupted in 1984, when the Soviet Union boycotted the Los Angeles Olympic Games.
Recognized by his peers to be one of the best minds in the sport, Sergei is former National Coach for both USA Wrestling and Russia, two of the perennial powerhouses on the International Wrestling scene. Beloglasov is considered one of the best clinicians in the world, and for four years was the Head F.I.L.A. instructor for their International Wrestling Seminar held in Rome.
Rico Chiapparelli
Founder of R1 Training Center and a former amateur wrestling champion. Rico has won every U.S. National Championships from Schoolboy thru Open divisions in Freestyle. He is a three time NCAA All-American & Big 10 Champion from the University of Iowa. An NCAA Champion, Chiapparelli also went on to become a U.S. National Team member & World Cup Champion.
Camp Features
* Individual instruction by a master technician considered one of the greatest wrestlers of any era!
* As a USSR 'Merited Master of Sport' Sergei has been educated as a coach to teach technique to all ages!
* Sergei will be attending & teaching at every session!
* Open mat after every session!
OTHER CAMP INFO: This clinic is aimed at the Junior High and High School aged wrestlers.
Sometimes a focused and mature younger wrestler can attend but this is an exception!
