CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Theater, Musical Theater, Music/Band, and more. Advanced Performance Camp, Mini Musical Camp
CAMP LOCATION: We are located in the heart of Balboa Park next to the Natural History Museum and the Botanical Gardens. Our camps are held in the Casa Del Prado building.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: San Diego Junior Theatre offers many different camps to suite your child's interest and abilities.
Creative Play Camp: June 10-14
Grades: Pre K-K
This camp is specially designed for 3-5 year olds. In a week-long, half-day format, students will experience the magic of the arts through singing, movement, dramatic play and craft activities. We have a 1:10 ratio of teaching artists to students, in addition to a classroom aide. Choose from a morning or afternoon session. No Extended Day Available
Cost: $150 NO DISCOUNTS
Traditional Camp: 1-2 week sessions June 17-Aug 30
Grades: K-8th
Students entering grades K-8 have the opportunity to take four classes each day with San Diego’s best teaching artists! Acting, voice, and dance are featured and specialty topics will change each week (they may include puppetry, mask-making, make-up, audition skills, and more). Students will participate in a Camp Celebration the last day of camp. Class sizes are limited to 25 students. In addition to the teaching artist; each team has an aide who has gone through Junior Theatre aide training program.

Grades: 3rd – 6th, 7th – 12th
Campers will spend two weeks rehearsing a mini version of a popular musical or play. Students will learn choreography, acting skills and blocking while having fun putting together a show. On the final day of camp the curtain will go up and family and friends will enjoy watching the final performance ??. The number of registrations is limited, so register early. Casting for this camp will be at the sole discretion of the teaching artist and no refunds/switches/drops will be allowed due to dissatisfaction with assigned role.
