BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Founded in 1930, the Bar 717 Ranch is the oldest accredited co-educational summer camp in California. For 89 years the Bar 717 Ranch has offered children ages 8-16 an opportunity to spend the summer on a beautiful mountain ranch. Located in Northern California on 450 acres, the ranch is surrounded by the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The camp property consists of mountains and meadows, rivers and ponds for swimming and fishing, creeks for exploring and miles of trails to discover on foot or on horseback.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Horses/Equestrian, Swimming, Waterfront/Aquatics, Adventure, Wilderness/Nature, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: The Bar 717 Ranch is located in Northern California, 80 miles west of Redding, CA on 450 acres surrounded by the Shasta-Trinity National Forest. The Camp property consists of mountains and meadows, rivers and ponds for swimming and fishing, creeks for exploring, and miles of trails to discover on foot or on horseback.
CAMP FACILITIES: 24 cabins, indoor guest rooms and a outdoor covered eating area shaded by grand old oak trees. Miles of private river frontage, huge green pastures, and endless miles of wilderness to explore.
