CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Widely recognized throughout the midwest as Ohio's premier summer camp since 1959, Falcon Camp offers a beautiful lakefront setting, a talented experienced staff and a wide variety of activities. Falcon provides an atmosphere that encourages young people to grow in spirit, skills, understanding, relationships, and attitudes. Fun for Now, Skills for Life is not just a catchy logo phrase but truly defines what Falcon is about. Camp is designed for boys and girls ages 6 - 16 in 2,4,6 or 8 week sessions. Each day campers choose their own schedule within a general framework.
Daily activities are separate for boys and girls with planned coed events. Riding, sailing, swimming, riflery, crafts, tennis, drama, archery, mountain biking and so many more activities are offered. Instruction from beginner to advanced is offered in each activity. We have a strong reputation for making sure a camper's first overnight experience is very positive. Our non-competitive environment is inviting to campers who may be hesitant to try something they have never done before, while our awards system challenges our most experienced campers. The 1:4 staff/camper ratio allows individual instruction and attention. Most of all it's great fun!
Falcon also has a special Young Adventure program for campers ages 6 -10. These one week intro sessions are designed for first time campers. ACA accredited, many NE Ohio references are available along with campers from all over the United States and the world. Being so close to several major cities allows families to visit beforehand, meet staff and feel "at home" prior to attending. Falcon is an outstanding opportunity for fun and learning. A summer at Falcon is a special experience where good things happen by design.

For Detailed Information on ALL of our summer sports camps, please visit our website at Our Camp Website Link: www.skyhawks.com.
Our coaches and site directors make a significant difference to your child's on-field experience. Chosen for their strong personal character, responsibility, and capacity to effectively communicate sports skills to youth, our staff will make the extra effort every time to ensure that your children have the best on-field/court experience, emphasize teamwork, and learn life skills through sports. Our staff are required to complete our extensive certification process.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Skyhawks Sports Camps are SAFETY FOCUSED!
At Skyhawks we go the extra mile to focus on safety, and we have a long-standing proven safety track record and processes to prove it. For example, all Skyhawks Sports camps start and end with our unique safety process called "Gate System and Parking Lot Duty." This process is where coaches come and greet both parents and campers in the parking lot when parents pull up to drop off their children.
Our staff guide the kids onto the field/court and out of harm's way by funneling them into our gate system. Eye contact is maintained from each one of our staff members until the kids make it onto the field/court where they are grouped by age. This efficient process ensures safety. Additionally, it develops a level of trust between parent, coach, and child that ultimately leads to a fun and skill-focused camp for youth.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:

OTHER CAMP INFO: iSG Camps is a division of the International Sporting Group based in Columbus, Ohio. The management of iSG Camps has been operating youth sports camps for over 19 years with a high rate of customer satisfaction. Camps are well organized and designed so that the designated professional athlete can easily come in and interact with youth participants.
We recognize the benefits of sports participation for youth. We work with athletes of all levels. Our priority is to get children involved in physical activity and to help alleviate the ‘couch potato’ mentality that many young people are faced with. For more athletic students, our goal is to help elevate them to the next level. Being involved in our program gives children a sense of belonging, achievement and success that they can then take with them and use in their everyday lives.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: About the Highbrook Camp Program:
Our philosophy is simple: All people have abilities and our mission is to enable children and adults to realize their full potential through the recreation activities at Highbrook.
Safety is paramount to this mission. Our leader screening includes a criminal background check through the Ohio Bureau of Criminal investigation. All staff participates in a week-long orientation with sessions about sighted guide techniques, accessibility for people who are blind and visually impaired, and CPR and First Aid certification. Emergency drill training and procedures include weather, fire, injury, and lost camper. Children are always supervised by counselor teams, and attendance is taken several times daily. We have a resident Registered Nurse to dispense medication and carry out physician-ordered treatments for conditions such as asthma, diabetes, and glaucoma, to address possible emergencies, and to educate about wellness. Geauga County Hospital is literally within walking distance. Each year we communicate with the sheriff, fire, and police departments in the area to announce our summer arrival. We are grateful for their service and assistance in maintaining a very safe environment at Highbrook Lodge.
We ask to be partners with parents in our efforts to provide a safe camp experience for their children. Our application provides ample space to provide information related to a child’s special needs including vision, behavior, health, and diet. Please be as thorough and complete with information as possible. No tidbit is too trivial when a child becomes homesick, displays anxiety or anger, or has difficulty ‘fitting’ in. In the event of injury or incidents we call home to ask your advice and inform you of any unusual circumstances. When you arrive to pick up your child at the end of their camp session our goal is that you will not have any surprises about their care.
Our program for children is structured and progressive. Our day begins at 7:00 A.M. and progresses through meals, 3- 6 activity periods depending on age group, evening program, and cabin time. Our campers are kept busy and active throughout the day and usually are ready for bed at night. Our activities and procedures are based on traditional camp experiences to instill confidence and build self-esteem, enable peer support and getting along with others in a diverse world, and trying new things and mastering old skills. Campers are challenged to be as independent as possible, make decisions about activities, make choices in their day, help others, and be active.
Every effort is taken to help a child have a successful camp experience, but we will not force a child to endure a full session if they are overwhelmed by homesickness or other anxiety.
From time to time children and teens test the limits of authority and disciplinary actions need to be imposed. Highbrook Lodge staff will first discuss and correct inappropriate behavior. If behavior is not corrected (and it most often is) and depending on the situation, a child may receive a brief time-out from an activity (never sent to their cabin or away from the group), a loss of privilege such as the camp store, or a proactive assignment such as providing extra help during cabin clean-up (but never to clean the cabin alone, for example). Corporal punishment, cabin hazing, initiations and the like are forbidden at Highbrook Lodge and should be reported immediately to the Camp Director if reported by a camper to their parents. We ask parents to discuss the golden rule with children prior to coming to camp and reinforce their need to listen and obey, get along with others, ask permission from their counselors, mind their manners, and respect others’ person and property.
Campers will be sent home for threatening physical or verbal behavior toward others, inappropriate or sexual advances, bringing alcohol, illicit drugs, weapons, or offensive materials to camp, refusing to participate or follow directions, stealing, or destruction of property.
Registration for Highbrook Lodge is required. Applications are requested no later than June 1st. As sessions tend to fill rapidly, applications are accepted on a first-come first serve basis.

We fly in our coaches directly from the Netherlands. They are not merely coaches: they are also teachers. Many of our coaches have graduated from a four- year CIOS College. At the Central Institution of Sports, coaches not only received their coaching licenses from the global leader in soccer development: KNVB (Royal Dutch Soccer Federation) but also learn how to work with, encourage and incentivize young athletes. Every camp group will have the same Dutch coach for the entire week. Our coaches will get to know each of the players in their group and can coach them individually, assessing their needs and improving the specific areas best for them.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The Red Cross recognizes that tomorrow’s leaders are today’s teenagers. That’s why it created its Leadership Development Camp—a camp for young people, organized and run by young people, all in an effort to empower them and teach them the subtle and not-so-subtle traits of becoming a leader.
And it makes a huge difference in their lives and the lives of those around them.

▌Read More about Red Cross Leadership Development Camp
CAMP FACILITIES: On the campus of Xavier University; campers will stay in on-campus residence halls
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: It works like this: More than 100 teenagers from around the region spend four days and three nights on a college campus, eating in the cafeteria, playing on the green space, sleeping in the dorms, all away from their parents and annoying siblings. (Or is that siblings and annoying parents? Whatever.) They participate in workshops and sessions on various “teen-related” topics, like public speaking (OMG NO!), volunteerism (OK, that’s cool) and ethics (I don’t know, what would you do?). There are also games, guest speakers and activities, all of which are structured to help young people recognize their leadership potential and encourage them to act upon it.
All of the activities are organized and run by a team of teen counselors who have already experienced LDC as campers and want to give back to the next camper group—with the support from college counselors and adult advisors, of course.
Campers also find that—through shared experiences—they make new friends from many different walks of life, often forming bonds of friendship that extend beyond the four days of camp. LDC participants spend a minimum of 6–12 hours volunteering for the Red Cross in the year following their LDC experience.
