BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Doodles: Adventures in Imagination. We're all about providing a playful camp experience for your camper, filled with imaginative, creative and often collaborative activities. Each week has a unique theme, which is the canvas that your child fills with their imagination.

CAMP LOCATION: Camp Doodles offers several convenient locations in San Francisco & Marin. Each location has a program designed specifically for entering kindergarten and first graders and an exciting program just for the second to sixth graders. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: With thoughtful and exciting themes based around a daily core schedule, your child's imagination is at the helm. We think the best way for kids to learn is through experience, and everyone does this in their own way. That's why every day at Doodles is different!
At Camp Doodles, we keep the daily flow consistent but the content is ever-changing. A balance of small group, large group, and individual play activities keeps the environment dynamic without being over stimulating - which is especially important for our younger campers. Camp Doodles is a professional member of the summer camp community. We have won local awards, and are Nationally Accredited by the American Camp Association.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We offer our Counselor-in-Leadership (CILT) & Junior Counselor (JC) programs where 7th - 10th graders are given the opportunity to build a variety of leadership skills while working directly with a mentor counselor. CILTs and JCs set and work towards goals with their mentor during their 1-week session, which often include hands-on practice with:
- Learning to work with kids in a camp setting, such as redirecting behavior, engaging them in conversation and encouraging participation
- Communication with adults and peers in a professional manner
- Collaboration as a CILT/JC team, planning and executing camp programs such as skits, assemblies and activities
- Perseverance and flexibility when things don’t go as planned
CILTs are campers entering 7th - 8th grades. Junior Counselors are campers entering 9th-10th grades and take-on added responsibility appropriate to their interests and skill level. To ensure our high standards for this program, space is limited to 12 spots per camp location per week.
