Founded in 1947, the Phoenix Boys Choir offers programs featuring training in voice, music theory, and performance for boys age 7 to 14. Members of the Phoenix Boys Choir receive a world-class music education and one of the most significant experiences of their lives.

The Artistic Staff at the Phoenix Boys Choir includes music educators who are not only certified and highly qualified music education instructors, with a specific focus on choral music, they are also artists themselves and engender a love of the arts to our students.

The Choir has performed with the Phoenix Symphony, Arizona Opera, Phoenix Chorale, Orpheus Male Chorus of Phoenix, collaborated with Phoenix Children’s Hospital, Musical Instrument Museum, Phoenix Youth Symphony and the Desert Botanical Garden. Additionally, the Phoenix Boys Choir was invited to perform at the inauguration of Governor Doug Ducey, and also sang at the memorial service for former Governor Raul Castro. The Choir has performed the National Anthem for the Phoenix Suns, Arizona Diamondbacks, Phoenix Coyotes, 2021 NASCAR Race, Arizona Rattlers and the Arizona Cardinals. The Choir is a Phoenix point of pride.

Beginning with the Cadet Choir, boys can progress to Town and Tour choirs, and upon graduation, participate in the Young Men's Ensemble and then the Masters Choir. When the boys reach the performance levels of Town and Tour Choir, they have the opportunity to travel nationally and internationally.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have three large class rooms and two smaller ones and all materials necessary for our program.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp programs include Classes in Acting, Dance and Music in the morning from 8:30 until 12 noon. In the afternoon from 12:30 until 4 pm we hold a musical theatre performance workshop. Camp meets for two week and participants can attend all day, morning only or afternoon only. Our staff are all professional performers from the Phoenix Metropolitan area with many years of experience in performing and all hold degrees in their respective teaching fields and have current finger print cards. Our goal is to learn basics in performing on stage and give each child an opportunity to explore performing, including learning skills in singing, dance and acting while enjoying a great time and meeting new friends.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: EVCT holds classes year round at its Studio, 4501 East Main Street in Mesa, AZ. Classes in acting and musical theatre, performance troupes (acting, musical theatre and improv) programs for home schooled kids, a technical theatre program, one day workshops and open theatre. East Valley Children's Theatre is the resident children's theatre at the Mesa Arts Center performing four main stage productions yearly.

Complete with a basketball hoop, volleyball net, soccer and hockey goals, kids will be running and playing non-stop while learning fundamental sport skills to create life lasting independent success as they continue sports.

By applying our methodology… Sportball helps children to develop socially as well as physically, through a curriculum designed to reinforce self confidence free from the pressure of competition. In our programs, children from 16 months to 12 years of age, are provided with a skills driven, high energy and fun filled curriculum.

Sportball Multi-Sport programs introduce children to the fundamental concepts and skills behind eight popular ball sports: baseball, football, basketball, volleyball, hockey, soccer, tennis and golf. Using creative instruction and positive encouragement, our programs focus on the development of gross motor skills, along with balance, strength, coordination, stamina and timing. The equipment that we use is age appropriate and sized just right for the children in our programs.

Sportball offers weekly classes that are run seasonally, as well as camps and clinics during school holidays. Birthday parties and special events can be arranged to fit into your schedule. We offer Sportball programs right in the community in churches, community centers, schools, daycares, private clubs, parks and other green spaces.

Our Coaches are Sportball certified… and stand out for their training, enthusiasm and ability to connect with the children in their programs. Each member of the coaching team has been carefully screened, selected and trained. Many of our coaches have a background in Early Childhood Education, Sports Administration, Occupational Therapy or Kinesiology. They are certified only after completing intensive training in the Sportball methodology and successfully passing our rigorous Mentorship Program. The passion our coaches share for working with children helps to create an environment that is all about skills and fun! Coaches focus on gross motor development with games and skills introduced in a fun, creative and nurturing environment. Sportball Kids programs introduce children to non-competitive activities, skill progression & parent assisted skill practice. The 45 minute class each week is just the right amount of time for the little ones to develop new found confidence and improved balance and coordination.

Home on the Range Week: Come to your home away from home, Camp Civitan! This week we will enjoy the best of our camp activities, including a visit to Bearizona to see those deer and antelope play, a hayride, a sing along by the campfire, horseback riding through the range, a wild west BBQ with western entertainment, western leather crafts inspired by local native Americans and western Karaoke. Wild West Week: Welcome to our ranch on the American frontier, in a dusty little town the locals call Williams. Frontier towns like Williams, situated at the edge of civilization, can be dangerous places. Our particular town is often beset by outlaws. The 7 Wonders of the World Week: Join us for a whirlwind trip around the world as we travel to each of the 7 Natural Wonders�with a little help from our imaginations! We will begin our trip at Arizona�s own Wonder, the Grand Canyon, as we travel to the canyon and experience the Wonder first hand. Each day we will travel to a new country by experiencing the food, games and music from each new worldly destination. We will visit the Mount Everest, Canada�s Victoria Falls, the Great Barrier Reef, Mexico�s Paricutin Volcano, and many more exciting destinations on our grand adventure. Wet and Wild Patriotic Week: This week we�ll be splishin� and a-splashin�, movin� and a-groovin� and rockin� and a-rollin� as we celebrate the joy of being American. Being American in July means splashing down a slip-n-slide, barbecues with hot dogs and ice cold coke, and parades down Main Street. In honor of this one-of-a-kind heritage, we will have wild and wet activities each day including water slides, a trip to the Williams aquatic center, water games, and many beautiful and extraordinary outdoor adventures here at Camp Civitan. For the icing on the cake (or the ice cream on the apple pie), our campers will ride on a festive float in the Williams 4th of July Parade. Come discover what makes America Great! Hollywood Week: Lights, camera, CAMPING! We�re rolling out the red carpet for you at our Hollywood Gala on Sunday night. Don�t settle for 15 minutes of fame, come to camp for a whole week of stardom! Camp Civitan is proud to present the first annual Camp Civitan Film Festival! Campers will participate in writing, scripting, creating costumes and filming a movie. We will edit the film and have our own movie premier on Saturday night at the big stage in town. We will also perform some live skits at our big red carpet Gala event along with our screening in Williams. Come let your inner star shine! CAMP FACILITIES: We have two bunkhouses and one lodge housing 120 people in 16 rooms, all with heating/ac and bathrooms. There is a main chapel, indoor swimming pool, two dining halls, a small meeting hall/staff lounge and 6 full RV sites.

Sports at camp include softball, basketball, field games, archery & rifle ranges, limited mountain biking and rock climbing, an obstacle course and a 425 ft. long zip line.

We also have a craft shop, an old museum, an outdoor amphitheater with a large stage, fire pit and outdoor lighting, a large game room with snack corner and a Christian bookstore selling camp apparel and reading material.

Our Indian Oaks tipi village is currently under reconstruction and will be opening in 2015.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our summer camp programs are open to children from grades 1 - 12 and are grouped accordingly. Summer camp is Christian based with exciting speakers, fun weekly themes and live Christian bands for the junior and senior high weeks of camp. There are plenty of activities throughout the day and evening to keep the kids moving and having fun with others.

Throughout the remainder of the year, the camp is open to various rental groups from the surrounding communities that use the camp for a variety of activities. Boy Scouts, Girl Scouts and others use the camp for activities, earning badges and doing service work.

Churches bring out youth, men and women for weekend retreats while a number of charter, private and public schools use the camp for science programs and overnight stays while exploring the rich history of southern Arizona.

We are host to several family reunions each year and also are privileged to host and cook for special dinners and receptions held at the camp.

Each winter the camp hosts up to 4 RV couples from the SOWER's program that brings volunteer workers to the camp to help with remodeling, repairs and new construction at the camp.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Huachuca Oaks is conveniently located just 40 minutes southeast of I-10, within 30 minutes drive of such great historic towns as Tombstone, Bisbee and an hour from Douglas. This area is well know for such characters as Doc Holliday, Wyatt Earp, Geronimo & Cochise, the outlaw Pancho Villa along with copper, silver and gold mines.

Other areas of interest include the Ramsey Canyon hummingbird sanctuary, Kartchner Caverns, Coronado National Memorial, the Slaughter Ranch, the Dragoon Mtns. and Chiricahua National Monument.

We are always open to interested volunteers who have skills in construction and maintenance, housekeeping, cooking, office work and landscaping.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We believe the best way to learn music is to play music. We take students from the lesson room to the stage, developing both their confidence and musicianship with programs designed for all skill levels.

School of Rock teaches guitar, bass, vocals, keyboards, drums and combines weekly private music instruction and group band rehearsals to prepare students to take the stage in front of live audiences in an authentic concert setting.

Our instructors live to play and play to live. They are experienced professional musicians that can instruct students on the finer points of their instrument, while at the same time educating them on everything that goes into putting on a great live show.

We teach and perform music on professional equipment that our students love to play and our audiences love to hear. From the fundamental roots of rock and roll through classic rock, funk, reggae, heavy metal, alternative, indie and prog rock - we share, engage and celebrate it all.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our beautiful 5000 sf warehouse with 20 ft. ceilings is the perfect place to train in circus arts.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: We also offer year round circus training programs for children and adults.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Camp weeks begin on June 3rd, 10th, 17th, 24th and July 1st and 8th. Advanced camp weeks are July 15th and 22nd. It runs from 9:00-4:00 each day. Summer Camp is geared toward ages 7 to 18. $230.00 per week.

CAMP FACILITIES: Fields

The campus has a large lighted grass field for training and games. The field has thick grass that is well maintained by the college staff. Adjacent to the field are two sand volleyball courts that can be used for goalkeeper training or just a casual free time game of sand soccer. Lights on the field allow for added time in the evening for scrimmages. Rest room facilities are next to the field. The camp also provides a Certified Athletic Trainer at the field to professionally treat any injuries that may occur.

Dorms
Campers live in the modern air-conditioned dorm on the college campus. Campers are housed two per room. Each suite has a refrigerator for keeping drinks cold. Each suite of three rooms has its own bathroom and shower facilities. The dorms also have laundry facilities.

Dining Hall
The new dining hall on campus provides three meals each day prepared by Sodexo Food Services. Choices include: salad bar, sandwich central, hamburgers and pizza. There is always a choice of main courses and there are Italian and Mexican food nights. The dining hall can also accommodate vegetarian and gluten free diets. Ice water is available at every meal so campers can fill their water containers and take them to the field to have iced water during training sessions. The campers also get evening snacks before lights out.

Student Union
As part of the boarding campers’ evening recreation program, you can choose to go the Embry Riddle’s Student Union. The facility has TV’s video games, air hockey, pool tables, ping pong, and foosball.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO:

Embry Riddle Aeronautical University in Prescott, Arizona, has served as the home for the Arizona Soccer Camp since 2007. The site’s 5,400 feet altitude makes it the perfect facility for preseason training. The campus has everything needed to operate a soccer training program at the highest level. Camp consists of a full week of training, games and fun challenges. There are penalty kick competitions, Soccer Olympics, Super Soccer, and the Styro Cup Challenge. At the end of the week, each camper sits down with their coach and receives a full written evaluation to help prepare for the new season. Free time is filled with a swim at the campus pool or a visit to the recreation room to play some ping-pong, foosball, or compete on the camp's video games.

Our campers have won high school championships, state cups, NCAA, NAIA, and junior college national championships. They have also competed on state select, USYSA regional, U.S. Junior National, and U.S. World Cup teams. Our coaching staff has included 34 college coaches, 23 foreign professional players, and 17 American pros.

CAMP FACILITIES: The on-site casita village is composed of 28 rustic, Santa Fe-style houses. Each casita has multiple, private bedrooms that share a central living room and large kitchen (although all meals and snacks are provided in a central location for the 2017 Biosphere 2 Summer Science Academy). Bathrooms are generally shared (suite-style) among a couple of bedrooms. The oversized rooms feature high-speed, wireless internet access and central air conditioning.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Student participants will learn and practice science 'under-the-glass', participating in hands-on research projects in the Biosphere 2 biomes: tropical rainforest, savanna, ocean, mangrove marsh, and coastal fog desert. Participants will apply scientific skills to conduct experiments and collect data while working side-by-side with Biosphere 2 researchers. The week will culminate with presentations of research findings. All instruction and activities are conducted in English.

The ratio of researchers/counselors to students is at least 1:8. The Academy staff also includes UA Outreach Scholars who will chaperone the casitas. The Outreach Scholars are college undergraduate and graduate students drawn from the University of Arizona.

CAMP FACILITIES: Dance Camp is held at the beautiful Dance Studio 111 Studio - 5 dance rooms, large viewing windows, state of the art dance floors!

CAMP FACILITIES: The James 4-H Camp & Outdoor Learning Center holds camping programs April through October. The property includes a swimming and fishing lake, cabins for up to 100 participants, bathhouse, Rec Hall, Dining Hall, and baseball field. The entire property is surrounded by the Prescott National Forest.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our studio has three large classrooms for our campers, with all the basic materials for our programs.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Teen Camp at EVCT is a chance for teens to learn and fine tune skills in performing of Broadway shows with emphasis on the kids roles from Broadway musicals. Taught by professional actors, choreographers and musicians, the camp creates an atmosphere of learning and encouragement in expanding their skills for performing on stage.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: EVCT (East Valley Children's Theatre) holds classes from September through May as well as offering performance troupes in acting, musical theatre and improv for kids age 5-18. In addition, it offers home schooled classes and had four fully-staged productions at the Mesa Arts Center each year.
