Ferron, Utah 84523

CAMPER AGES: 12-18 years old

TYPE OF CAMP: Overnight/Sleepaway.

CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.

AFFILIATION(S): Christian.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Three Seven's Ranch offers quality leveled horsemanship programs for youth, ages 12-18. The week is full of fun and learning and goes from Sunday evening through Saturday morning. Passing each level requires the rider to pass both a written test and a riding test. The written test might include topics such as horse anatomy, whereas the riding test might include a demonstration of successful flying lead changes, depending on the level of the rider. Interspersed with the learning sessions are games and activities suited to the abilities of the riders.

CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Horses/Equestrian, and more.

CAMP LOCATION: We are located 45 miles south of Price, Utah on Hwy. 10 at the base of the beautiful Manti-Lasal Mountains outside of Ferron, Utah. We are 3 hours southeast of Salt Lake City, Utah and 3 hours west of Grand Junction, Colorado.

CAMP FACILITIES: Our facilities include a three-story log lodge, modern bunkhouses, log bedroom cabins, lake nearby for swimming, shooting range, and an indoor arena.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Three Seven’s Ranch is a working ranch and Christian camp designed to help young people develop a good work ethic and strong character, to provide quality horsemanship instruction for both kids and adults, and to offer programs to strengthen the family. The theme "using the outside of a horse to develop the inside of a man" describes much of the ranch program.

Horsemanship Camp Director-Rick Benson: Rick’s varied experiences over the past fifty years make him well-qualified to serve as horsemanship director. For four years, he taught advanced horsemanship, served as the stallion manager, and acted as assistant to the veterinarian teacher at a vocational college. In addition, he taught adult horsemanship at another college for a year and for two years instructed at one-day clinics for the sheriff's department search and rescue workers. For many years, he has been breaking and training horses for individual trainers, at roundpen demonstrations, and for camp programs. At a Christian camp in California and then again at the 777 Ranch in Utah, he has developed a leveled horsemanship program, ranging from beginning to advanced students. Throughout the years, Rick’s primary desire has been the motto of the 777 Ranch—”using the outside of a horse to develop the inside of a man.”

A certificate is given after a rider has passed each level. One-on-one, as well as group, instruction is provided by qualified instructors. Campers are paired with a Three Seven's Ranch horse that is appropriate for their riding skill level. At the completion of the program, graduates are awarded with a silver buckle. The campers will also take part in other activities such as marksmanship, swimming, kayaking, chapel times, crafts, and games. Some spaces for the summer of 2019 are still available. Please visit our website Our Camp Website Link: www.777ranch.org for more information and to register. Please call or email us if you have any questions.

The equestrian center sits on the mountain top over looking Emigration Canyon. The views are beautiful throughout the four seasons. The facility is nestled among the scrub oaks and sage brush. Horse programs will run year round in this heated facility. Programs are offered for Camp Kostopulos’ participants and for other agencies and organizations that wish to utilize the many types of horse related program options. CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We only accept serious players with previous competitive soccer experience. Every year talented players attend our camps and challenge each other to the limit, growing in skill and experience. A number of our campers have experienced training trials with professional clubs in Holland. Our programs are designed to help players achieve their maximum potential through progressive exercises that are individually challenging, as well as appropriate to the age and ability of each player.

We fly in our coaches directly from the Netherlands. They are not merely coaches: they are also teachers. Many of our coaches have graduated from a four- year CIOS College. At the Central Institution of Sports, coaches not only received their coaching licenses from the global leader in soccer development: KNVB (Royal Dutch Soccer Federation) but also learn how to work with, encourage and incentivize young athletes. Every camp group will have the same Dutch coach for the entire week. Our coaches will get to know each of the players in their group and can coach them individually, assessing their needs and improving the specific areas best for them.
