BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: White Stag Sierra offers three week-long leadership camp programs tailored to youth needs depending on their individual skill level, level of maturity, and readiness to learn.

CAMP LOCATION: Camp Robert Cole is located next to Lake Sterling in the Tahoe National Forest 2½ hours east of Sacramento, California and 21 miles west of Truckee, California. See our website for details.
CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Cole is adjacent to Lake Sterling and sited in the middle of a beautiful alpine forest. The camp is in the midst of the Tahoe National Forest with access to miles of hiking and biking trails, canoeing, climbing, and other high adventure activities.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: White Stag Sierra is one of the best deals you’ll find for summer fun and learning. Come to White Stag Sierra and you’ll have fun transporting your entire team across an “infected” swamp without touching the ground. Or help every member get through a massive, poisonous spider web without getting trapped.
Camp in the High Sierras, swim in Lake Sterling, hike through chasms, climb mountains, eat in the outdoors. Have fun and make new friends.
Our camp was founded in 1958 and has trained more than 20,000 youth in leadership skills they use everyday. We are a volunteer-run, non-profit, which helps keep your fees low. With our 50-plus year history, we’ve learned a lot, but we’re still small enough to give individual the attention they need to have a fun summer camp experience.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We train our youth staff year-round in an ongoing series of leadership conferences locally in the San Francisco East Bay and Sacramento areas.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Limited camperships available upon proof of need.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Our program is youth-led. Our youth staff work year-round to plan the summer camp program. They develop the plans and guide and train other youth during summer camp, mentored by adults.
