CAMP LOCATION: PEAK Summer Camp is offered by the Department of Recreational Services at Kent State University. The camp is based out of the Student Recreation and Wellness Center on the Kent State University - Kent Campus in Kent, Ohio.
CAMP FACILITIES: The Student Recreation and Wellness Center is an outstanding facility that has: a multipurpose gymnasium, four (4) basketball courts, climbing wall, leisure pool, lap pool, wet classroom, two (2) outdoor volleyball courts, racquetball courts, aerobics studios, two seminar rooms and many other common areas. The camp also utilizes outdoor areas surrounding the Student Recreation and Wellness Center as well as other campus resources.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: PEAK - Playful Education & Adventures for Kids
Unforgettable memories are made at PEAK Summer Camps. The Department of Recreational Services at Kent State University is excited to offer weekly themed camps for its 14th consecutive year. PEAK Summer Camp is accredited by the American Camp Association (ACA).
PEAK Summer Camps are designed for children 6 -12 years of age. We also offer a Leaders In Training program for youth ages 13-15 years of age in conjunction with our camp. At PEAK we strive to help each camper become more independent, enhance self-confidence, develop self-awareness and develop both mind and body in a fun and safe learning environment.
The camp operates from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday through Friday with before and after care options available starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 5:30 p.m. Each session is facilitated by highly motivated and energetic students and professionals. All camp counselors are certified in American Red Cross Professional Rescuer CPR/AED and First Aid. Activities change each week based on the theme but camp follows a similar structure each week; there is also swimming every day. Lunch, snacks and a T-shirt are provided.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We also offer a Leaders In Training program for youth ages 13-15 years of age in conjunction with our camp, designed primarily for past PEAK campers.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: There is a $15 discount for the second sibling enrolled in the same session.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The Department of Recreational Services also offers several youth programs throughout the year. Please refer to our website for more information.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
PEAK Summer Camp offers nine (9) week long sessions beginning June 9th and ending August 15th (no camp June 30 - July 4). Enroll in all nine weeks or choose based on the weekly themes.

PEAK Pricing
Affiliate Fee: $135/week
This fee includes the children of students, faculty and staff of Kent State University and Student Recreation and Wellness Center members.
Community Fee: $160/week
This fee includes the children of anyone not affiliated with Kent State University or the Student Recreation and Wellness Center.
Family Discount: $15/child
This discount will be applied for any additional children enrolled from the same household.
Registration deadline: The Wednesday of the week prior to desired camp session (a $10 late fee will incur after this date)
Extended Care Fees
One option: $20/week
Both options: $30/week
