Our daily themes include, but they are not limited to, fun and engaging projects and activities in biology, paleontology, oceanography, nutrition, and cosmology! CAMP FACILITIES: Our beautiful daycare facility features 2 playgrounds, a new HVAC system, non-toxic paint on the walls throughout, flooring that meets stringent California emission standards , Greenguard-certified wood furnishings, energy efficient appliances & LED light bulbs

July 1 to July 5 (closed July 4th) Theme: Human Body and Five Senses
July 8 to July 12 Theme: Ew! Entomology (bugs and insects)
July 15 to July 19 Theme: Future Paleontologists (dinosaurs)
July 22 to July 26 Theme: Little Oceanographers (ocean life)
July 29 to August 2 Theme: Beyond Cosmology (planets, space, stars, moon)
August 5 to August 9 Theme: Environmental Science-weather, seasons, climate (use of recycled materials for projects)
August 12 to August 16 Theme: Earth Science-water/cycle, animals, plants, volcanos
August 19 to August 23 Theme: Science Experiments
August 25 to August 30 Theme: Superheroes/Royalty Good-bye Week
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Evelyn Street Day School is a year-round center with year-round enrollment. We implement a balanced approach to teach reading, and a theme-based social studies curriculum, which means that students engage in purposeful and enjoyable learning experiences. In addition to our focus on language arts, social studies, mathematics and science, we devote ample time to the arts. There are many opportunities for independent learning and fun, from blocks to dramatic play. We apply a hands-on or experiential approach to learning by using manipulatives, books, songs, games, toys, puppets and more as a means to accomplish our goals for children.
Our extra-curricular program consists of something different each day. Each of the following is offered once per week: Dance and Movement, Spanish, Sign Language, Yoga and Music.
