BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Located in the mountains of Southeast Tennessee, YMCA Camp Ocoee has been providing children with wilderness adventures since 1923. One-week sessions for boys and girls ages 7-17. 4:1 camper to staff ratio. Strong Christian environment. Activities include paintball, whitewater rafting, kayaking, climbing, mtn. biking, camp-outs and many more.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Theater, Fine Arts/Crafts, Basketball, Cheerleading, Soccer, Horses/Equestrian, Swimming, Waterfront/Aquatics, Volleyball, Team Sports, Adventure, Wilderness/Nature, and more. Water Activities: Banana Boat, Canoeing, Swimming, Funyaking, Keowees, Fishing, Kayaking, Sit On Tops, Water Games, Water Slide, Water Trampoline Land Activities: Archery, Arts & Crafts, Beading, Basketball, Bible Study, Ceramics, Climbing Tower, Dance & Cheerleading, Drama, Fishing, Flag Football, High Ropes, Hiking, Lanyards, Mountain Biking, Nature Study, Pottery, Riflery, Sand Volleyball, Soccer, Team Sports, Ultimate Frisbee
CAMP LOCATION: Nestled on the shores of Lake Ocoee, Camp Ocoee’s setting is breathtaking. The camp is set deep in the Cherokee National Forest in southeastern Tennessee.
CAMP FACILITIES: YMCA Camp Ocoee is a wilderness camp. We have 12 open air cabins which to have bathrooms in each cabin. Visit ymcacampocoee.org for more information.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Thanks to generous donors, the YMCA is able to offer camp scholarships on a first-come, first-served basis to anyone who would like to go to camp.
