CAMPER GENDER(S): All Girl Campers.
BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Don’t let Junior High give you the jitters! In this supportive, empowering and dramatic camp girls will learn and practice coping techniques for worry as well as recognizing anxious thoughts, identifying triggers, and using positive self-talk. Additionally, the essential assets of social competencies including a positive identity, strong personal power, conflict resolution skills, decision making, and how to deal with the bully/victim scenario will be explored. This group will include activities, crafts, and games that will make this age group laugh, learn, and open up. Informational hand-outs will be sent to parents to further reinforce training at home. Maximum number of superheroes is 8 to allow for personal attention. Girls must be entering 7th or 8th grade.
