BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Wildwood combines a traditional sleep-away camp experience with fun, hands-on learning in science and self-discovery for kids, ages 6-15 years. Activities include swimming, canoeing, fishing, archery, climbing wall, arts and crafts, challenge course, nature study and so much more!
Camp Wildwood is expertly designed and facilitated to increase friendship skills, problem-solving confidence, appreciation and understanding for the natural world, and independence within each camper.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: We can accommodate dietary restrictions, mobility and other special needs on a case-by-case basis.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Theater, Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Swimming, Waterfront/Aquatics, Team Sports, Science, Academics, Adventure, Wilderness/Nature, and more. Canoeing, Hiking, Adventure Challenge Course (low-ropes), Skywalker (high Ropes), Archery, Fishing, Ecology & More!
CAMP LOCATION: Wildwood is an hour south of the heart of Kansas City, MO. Get off highway 69 at 399th Street, head East one mile, our drive is on the right.
CAMP FACILITIES: Wildwood provides a comfortable and well-rounded outdoor experience with amenities like 6 cabins with complete plumbing and bunks for up to 24 campers each, swimming pool, dining hall, covered basketball/play court, canoeing and fishing ponds, low ropes course and high ropes course.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Wildwood is expertly designed and facilitated to increase friendship skills, problem-solving confidence, appreciation and understanding for the natural world, and independence within each camper.
