BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The University of North Carolina at Greensboro is pleased to again announce plans for Summer Music Camp, the largest university music camp in America! This summer we will offer two one-week camps, serving over 2,040 musicians, with programs in band, mixed chorus, orchestra, and piano.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:

CAMP LOCATION: This is America's Most Popular Music Camp! We are located on the campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro. Annually we host 2,040 music camp students served by a staff of 170 professionals.
CAMP FACILITIES: We occupy the entire campus of the University of North Carolina at Greensboro include 4 residence halls, the Music Building, Taylor Theatre, UNCG Auditorium and the Elliott University Center.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Two one-week camps in July with offerings in band, orchestra, chorus and piano. This includes 15 concert bands, 5 orchestras, 4 choirs and 160 piano students. Participants are drawn from 23 states and several foreign countries. This is the largest and most popular music camp in America on a college campus.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Registration opens each year on February 1st and to "get in" you MUST apply as early in February as possible. In addition to 2,040 students, we routinely have 1,000 or more students on waiting lists. Visit our web site at: Our Camp Website Link: www.smcamp.org
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
1st Week July 8 (Sunday) - July 13 (Friday): Senior High Band Grades 9 through 12. Junior High Band Grades 6 through 8 and have played at least two years. Beginner Band Played one year only Grades 5 through 9. Junior Orchestra Grades 6 through 8 and have played at least two years. Violin, viola, cello, bass Piano Grades 6 through 12 and have played at least two years. Grade Level is determined by the current school year.
2nd Week July 15 (Sunday) - July 20 (Friday): Senior High Band Grades 9 through 12. Junior High Band Grades 6 through 8 and have played at least two years. Beginner Band Played one year only Grades 5 through 9. Junior Orchestra Grades 6 through 8 and have played at least two years: Violin, viola, cello, bass. Senior Orchestra Grades 9 through 12: Violin, viola, cello, bass, winds & percussion. Senior Mixed Chorus Grades 9 through 12 Piano Grades 6 through 12 and have played at least two years. Grade Level is determined by the current school year
