BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The Naming Project Summer Camp is for 14-18 year-olds or those who have completed 8th-12th grades who are of any sexual orientation or gender identity or expression who are interested in discussing and understanding sexuality and gender in terms of their own spiritual journey and are excited to spend time with other teen campers and staff while canoeing, swimming, hiking, singing, doing arts and crafts.

CAMP LOCATION: A beautiful island on Bay Lake, in the lake region of central Minnesota. Cars park on a landing and take a pontoon over to the camp site.
CAMP FACILITIES: The camp is located on an island. We stay in a weatherized lodge with heat and AC, with attached bathrooms in each room. Dining is held in a dining hall, with camp facilities spread over several acres.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Campers will experience large and small group conversation, personal quiet time as well as campfires, crafts, swimming, games, and summer camp fun in the beauty of God’s creation!

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Scholarships are available to any youth who requests it. Email staff[AT]thenamingproject.org with scholarship requests.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Support for youth on issues of coming out, families, Christianity, and general support.
Communications with parents, pastors and church staff about ministry with LGBTQ youth Advice for LGBTQ youth organizations facing issues of religion
OTHER CAMP INFO: This camp is designed for campers who are lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning, or allies. Our focus is on building spirituality and identity through faithful community.
