TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp. School-Age 9 AM - 1 PM or 9 AM - 3 PM Preschool 8:30-12:30 or 8:30- 3:00

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Sunflower Farm based Camps are designed to give kids a sense for rural farm-life. Activities include hands on animal care, harvesting and gardening, zip-line zooming, hay-bale jumping, recycled art station, sprinkler play, games and good old-fashioned farm play!
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: We love offering camps to children with special needs and accommodate, guardians, para's or therapists coming with children who require more assistance. A short conversation with our director about each child's special needs is requested before enrolling.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:

CAMP LOCATION: We are located on 55 beautiful acres of farmland. In Longmont, CO, less than a mile from HWY 287.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Longmont. 2 Different summer programs available.
Weekly licensed camps:ages 5-14. (June 1-August 7th) These camps are designed to give each child a sense of rural, farm lifestyle. Each morning we break into groups based on age and friend groups. Outdoor activities include feeding and care of animals, gardening, art, and just old-fashioned play, such as climbing hay bales, zip line, tree houses and so much more! Camp counselor staff are qualified camp counselors approved through the state of Colorado. Hours are Half Days 9:00-1:00 or Full Days 9:00-3:00. Visit our website to see a more details. Summer Long SproutHouse Program: ages 3-6 (9 weeks, June 1-July 31)
This summer program will incorporate all the farm has to offer: Circle time, recycled art, music, zipline, daily farm routines, exploring an old, abandoned airplane, trips to magical fairy forest, feeding and caring for animals, gardening projects, or simply catching toads. The same group of children will meet every week for 9 weeks Choose, 2, 3, 4 or 5 days, single days are only offered on Fridays. Half days 8:30-12:30 or full days 8:30-3:00.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: We do offer scholarships every summer to families in need, please email us to receive an application.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Year-Round Licensed Preschool SproutHouse Program (ages 3-6):
This farm-based preschool program is designed to give kids as much outdoor time on the farm as possible. Kids enjoy experiential learning through hands on animal time and care, gardening, harvesting, music, art, circle time, trips to magical fairy forest, zip-line and good old fashioned farm play. By popular demand, we have now added a Pre-K program for kids 4-6, turning 4 by October 1st and planning to attend Kindergarten the following year.
Follows St. Vrain School Calendar, August 10th- May 21st, choose one or multiple mornings, afternoons or full days, hours are 8:30-12:30 or 1:30-4:00 or full days. All childhoods should begin like this!
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Preschool Camp session runs from June 1, 2020 - July 31, 2020. Please visit website for pricing.
Cost for weekly School-Age camp (Mon-Fri) is $325 for half days 9am-1pm & Full Days are $425 9:00-3:00.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
We are always looking for energetic camp counselors for summer and seasonal camps, who have experience teaching children and are over 18 and love the outdoors. A 9 week commitment is requested in summer. Please send your resume to sunfowerfarmmail[AT]gmail.com for more information.
