CAMPER AGES: 13-14
TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp. Daily 8:30 -12:00pm
CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.
BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: This STEM-centered, academic enrichment program for creative and curious 13 and 14 year olds will have kids designing and building working models to solve real problems using low tech materials. Students construct and evaluate multiple prototypes to solve a specific problem using critical thinking and design strategies. Students can attend 1 - 4 weeks, during the month of July. Students engage with unique experiments, science concepts, and projects depending on the week’s theme. Space is limited so enroll today!

CAMP LOCATION: Camp takes place at Pascack Hills High School, in Montvale NJ.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The director and primary instructor, Elise Naramore, is a passionate believer that science is for all students, and that both creativity and resilience are essential for success. A high school science teacher for nearly 30 years, she has taught middle school STEM programs during many summers. She has a Master's Degree in Education and has resided in Bergen County all of her life. Coauthor of "Going Gradeless", published by Corwin, she runs workshops and presentations for educators around the country.
Other primary instructors are veteran teachers at Pascack Valley Regional HS, with NJ Teaching Certification. There are enough teaching assistants to keep the ratio to 6:1. All staff members are CPR certified.
