TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp. One-day camps, 9 am - 4 pm
CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.
BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Do you like playing with trains? Come play with ours! These incredible one-day camps are focused on trains and interwoven with hands-on experience. Campers will get the opportunity to fire up a 1/8-scale steam-powered locomotive, play interactive games and activities, experience train rides and get a chance to drive our 1/8-scale diesel train!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Science, Technology, Academics, and more. Mechanical Work, Trains, Museum
CAMP LOCATION: We are located in Yorklyn, Delaware, just outside of Hockessin on the grounds of Auburn Valley State Park.
CAMP FACILITIES: We are located inside picturesque Auburn Valley State Park and our facilities include a recently-renovated museum and a workspace (our historic Carriage House) as well as the grounds around the museum and Auburn Heights mansion.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Campers will be working with trained volunteers who are part of our Steam Team and Auburn Valley Railroad crew who have gone through rigorous training to be certified to operate steam locomotives. Camp leader is Allison Schell, Director of Public Programs, who is First Aid/CPR certified and run successful camps in the past.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Train Day: May 1 - Everyone is a kid on Train Day at Auburn Heights! Kick off our event season by experiencing all things trains.
Steamin' Days: First Sundays June - November
Climb into an antique automobile, board one of our small-scale trains, and experience what it was like to travel at the turn of the 20th century.

Monday, June 27 from 9 am - 4 pm
Friday, July 15 from 9 am - 4 pm
Monday, August 1 from 9 am - 4 pm
$150/per day with add-ons available for before camp care and lunch.
