TYPE OF CAMP: Overnight/Sleepaway. Day Camp. Fall, Winter, Spring, and four summer intensives. Private coaching.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Since 1978 Rita Litton has taught teens (ages 13-20) film acting based on the discipline of the theater. Dedicated professionals teach fourteen electives to train the working or aspiring teen actor. Formerly called "ACTeen" Rita's grads have starred on Broadway, in film and television, and been accepted into the most competitive theater/performing arts conservatories and universities. Take your talent to the next level.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Theater, Musical Theater, Music/Band, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Academics, and more. Voiceovers, Meisner Technique, Improvisation, Monologues, Audition Technique, & Competitive Industry Showcases.
CAMP LOCATION: Located in the Chelsea area of New York City steps from NY Penn Station and the Fashion Institute of Technology, and convenient to all public transportation. Visit our site for more info!
CAMP FACILITIES: We utilize several air conditioned theater and camera studios in an Equity approved rehearsal/audition space with lounges.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Rita Litton is an award winning acting teacher and coach. She is the proud recipient of three Backstage Magazine Reader's Choice Awards ("Favorite Acting Courses for Teens,") and a frequent choice in 'Best Summer Acting Programs for Teens." Professional film and television acting courses (involving the intimacy of the camera) combine with theater technique and discipline.
Four Summer Intensives (Weeks A, B, C, D) offer a concentration of Foundations work (Technique, tools, acting process) or Advanced On Camera work on acting for Television and Film, along with concentrated Audition Technique.
Rita's distinguished ACTeen graduates (see her main page video with actor Jon Seda of "Chicago Justice") appear in TV series(15 were principals in series last season), films, on Broadway and in the most competitive theater universities and conservatories. Various press in Seventeen, Cosmo Girl, New York Magazine, NY Post, The Princeton Review, Dramatics Magazine, Backstage, and publications such as "How to Be A Working Actor" by Mari Lyn Henry (former Head of Casting for ABC-TV) and "Acting for Young Actors" by Emmy award winning director Mary Lou Belli.
Rigorous training and industry showcases. Intimate class sizes (8-12 students max ) provide individualized instruction and career guidance. Seven week semesters run Fall, Winter, and Spring, followed by four summer week long intensives.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Past scholarships have been awarded through the Wishbone Organization.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Five to six week Fall, Winter, and Spring Programs, with classes held on weekends or after school.
OTHER CAMP INFO: Our instructors are working adult professionals from acting, directing and casting backgrounds, most of whom also teach in the best adult acting conservatories or universities. Week B: July 17-July 21, 2017-- Advanced On Camera
Week C: July 31-August 4, 2017- FOUNDATIONS
Week D: August 7-August 11, 2017--Adv On Camera
Fees: $850 per week before May 1 ($950 after May 1)
Discounts for early registration, and for taking both Foundations and On Camera weeks (two or more weeks) No off- site supervision available.
