BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Pratt’s Youth & Teen Online Summer art programs explore a weekly theme in a supportive environment allowing students to express themselves creatively while learning from professional artists! Week-long hands-on online art programs feature small class sizes that enable students to explore and expand as artists. For summer 2021 we are offering online classes and hybrid online/in-person experiences for teens where students meet online to organize ideas, concepts and techniques then later in the week meet at a designated park for continued art making (following COVID-19 protocols).

Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, and more. Arts: 2D, Drawing, Glass, Painting, Sculpture, Mixed Media, Stone, Metal, Photography, Screenprinting, Portfolio Development, Museum Partnerships
CAMP LOCATION: Located in Seattle’s Historic Central Area Arts & Cultural District near Pratt Park. All 2021 classes online or hybrid/online and experiences at parks.

CAMP FACILITIES: We have professionally equipped art studios in Glass, 2D (Painting, Drawing, Printmaking, Mixed Media) Jewelry, Metal, Stone, & Wood.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Pratt Youth Programs
Pratt’s youth program fosters an appreciation of art for students ages 5-12. Pratt introduces students to a variety of materials and artistic concepts to evoke their curiosity and to hone their natural creativity develop perseverance, and critical thinking. Professional artists teach students in a fun, relaxed environment where they can express their creativity and gain self-confidence. The techniques developed at Pratt do not stop here; students use these new skills artistically, academically, and interpersonally. Pratt has committed to racial equity as a core value and ongoing practice, allocating resources to the breakdown of systemic barriers and the development of equitable solutions organization-wide.
Pratt Teen Programs
Pratt’s teen program is specifically designed for teens (13 – 18) who want to explore art making in a professional studio environment. Students gain understanding of complex concepts, problem-solving, risk-taking skills and discover positive ways to articulate the way they think and feel. Students celebrate their strengths and develop the skills they need to become healthy, contributing adults. Pratt provides opportunities for teens to develop a foundation for success through the process of making art, which has been shown to motivate and engage students, as well as to increase their ability to develop abilities associated with academic success.
