BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Pittsburgh CLO Academy's summer performance camps are designed to give kids the opportunity to experience preparing for and performing on the stage. Working with a Director, Music Director and Choreographer, students will create their own exciting musical theater experience!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Theater, Musical Theater, Music/Band, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: The CLO Academy is located on the 8th floor of Penn Avenue Place (formerly the Lazarus / Horne’s building) at 130 CLO Academy Way between Penn Avenue and Fort Duquesne Boulevard, across the street from Fifth Avenue Place.
CAMP FACILITIES: The Academy contains four spacious and well-equipped dance studios, two acting studios, two private voice studios, a student practice room, a student/teacher library, a student lounge and a comfortable waiting area for parents accompanying students to the Academy. In addition, the Charles Gray Auditorium offers the Academy a theater in which to showcase the accomplishments and achievements of its student body.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: As Pittsburgh's premier training Academy for Musical Theater, we are dedicated to celebrating their talent, encouraging their dreams, and helping develop their abilities. By providing the finest dance, voice and acting training in a positive, fun-filled class setting, the CLO Academy encourages both an appreciation for musical theater and a well-rounded education.
CLO Academy’s enriched, diverse curriculum is taught by university instructors and experienced professionals in the industry.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The CLO Academy boasts a 100% post-secondary education placement record. Alumni have attended prestigious universities including Boston College, Carnegie Mellon University, The Julliard School, New York University, Point Park University and the University of Michigan. With its diverse programs, students are sure to find the program that’s right for them.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Program dates run from June 14 until August 12 with sessions ranging from 3 days to 3 weeks. Costs range from $170 to $595, depending on the session. See our website for more details.
