TYPE OF CAMP: Overnight/Sleepaway. Day Camp.

CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The Nike Sprints and Hurdles and Throws Camp at Carthage College aims to give campers an experience filled with opportunities to become stronger students of the sport, coupled with fun activities to enjoy campus life.

The goal of this camp is to introduce developing athletes to the latest training techniques, drills, and information pertaining to each athlete’s specific event(s). Emphasis will be placed on the technical aspects of each event, utilizing dynamic warm-ups, as well as the importance of strength and flexibility. Demonstrations and instruction by our high-caliber, nationally recognized staff will provide campers with hands-on learning opportunities. Positive feedback and encouragement will always be implemented. It is our hope campers will leave with the knowledge and skills enabling them to acheive success!

Weightloss, and more. Running, Track & Field, Sprints, Hurdles, Throws.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Director Josh Henry enters his third year as head coach in 2016. Henry was an assistant men’s and women’s cross country/track and field coach for five years at the State University of New York-Cortland between 2009 to 2014
