BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Nashville Children's Theatre provides drama camps for ages 3-18 engaging students in acting, dance, storytelling, improv, and ensemble.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Theater, Musical Theater, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: Located just south of downtown Nashville, at 25 Middleton Street, between Hermitage Ave. and 2nd Ave. South, behind the Howard School Building.
CAMP FACILITIES: We have a theatre with seating for over 500, plus a wide range of classroom and rehearsal space.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We are a professional theatre of adult actors who perform programs for children and families. We also offer a wide range of classes in a variety of theatrical arts to meet the needs of children where they are emotionally, mentally, and physically. We employ professional teaching artists who are experienced in theatre and education, and we have a detailed curriculum that encourages imagination, creative thinking, and empathetic learning through ensemble-based activities.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Nashville Children's Theatre's Family Access Membership, or FAM, is a streamlined way of offering not only scholarships to our classes and camps, but discount tickets to our shows and invitations to other special events at the theatre. YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Drama classes occur year-round, after school, weekends, fall and spring breaks, and 10 weeks of summer. Check our website for specific dates/times.
