TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp. Saturdays from May 5 to June 16. Day Camp rehearsals June 18-29 weekdays.

CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: MCYT Bard Bums will dive into Shakespeare's Romeo and Juliet (and meet the Hatfields and McCoys), using character analysis and scene study by participating in theatre games and other fun and exciting activities before presenting full length performances at Motor City Theatre.

SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Special needs campers are invited to participate in this program.

CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Theater, Musical Theater, Music/Band, Fine Arts/Crafts, and more.

TOP MICHIGAN SUMMER CAMP: Motor City Youth Theatre Bard Bums Academy is a Top Summer Camp located in Livonia Michigan offering many fun and enriching camp programs.

CAMP LOCATION: We are located in Livonia, MI. ; Five miles west of Detroit.

CAMP FACILITIES: Beautiful black box theatre (seating for 100) with an attached playground for outdoor activities.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: MCYT acting camps are open to students of all skill levels and emphasize character development, stage presence, voice skills, and ensemble work. Classes will be taught by Nancy Florkowski and other experienced teachers/drama specialists.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Available when the occasion arises in particular workshops.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Two major plays or workshop productions per year in addition to specific workshops. Varies from year to year.
