CAMPER AGES: 8-12 for the Junior Program, 13-18 for the Teen Program
TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp. 9am-5pm for the first two weeks, 9am-9pm for the last week (because of evening rehearsals/performances)

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts is looking for young artists to participate in our summer workshops! Participants will spend three weeks collaborating with a staff of professional artists from all different arts disciplines to create a unique, never-before-seen piece of musical theatre. We are seeking young writers, performers, visual artists, dreamers, designers, and creative-types from all walks of life to join us for this once-in-a-lifetime creative experience! CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Theater, Musical Theater, Music/Band, Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Technology, Academics, and more. Writing, Composing, Songwriting, Design, Technical Theatre

CAMP FACILITIES: All Lovewell activities and performances take place in the Don Taft University Center on the NSU campus in Ft. Lauderdale, FL. This facility features state-of-the-art theater and music equipment, as well as a plethora of food and beverage options for students to enjoy during their meal breaks.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Lovewell Institute for the Creative Arts has been hosting musical theatre writing workshops for young artists all over the globe for the last 30+ years. All Lovewell programs are staffed by fully-trained professional artists, and every collaborative work of musical theatre that is created is truly one-of-a-kind. At Lovewell, students are given the opportunity to create a new work of theatre from scratch, all the while exploring different avenues of the arts that they may have not been exposed to previously. Lovewell aims to embody collaboration, creativity, and community, and we are thrilled to be able to offer our workshops to the amazingly gifted young artists residing in Broward County.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Scholarships are available for students in need of financial assistance. We aim to make Lovewell available to all young artists, regardless of economic status.
