BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Experience the Rocky Mountains of Colorado through traditional Overnight Camps and Day Camps or the excitement and adventure of our traveling Expeditions. Our beautiful, 23-acre campus nestled in the mountains along the Continental Divide serves the perfect basecamp for a summer full of adventure and new friends. DEN Airport and Morrison pick-up and drop-off. Ages 5-17. ACA Accredited.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Horses/Equestrian, Science, Technology, Academics, Adventure, Travel, Wilderness/Nature, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: Our campus is in the heart of the Rocky Mountains and about only an hour from Denver Metro. Our campus is 23 acres surrounded by the White River National Forest nestled along the Continental Divide at 9200 feet.
CAMP FACILITIES: Keystone Science School hastwo dorms, canvas tents, yurt, amphitheater, observatory and a great dining hall. Along with our accommodations we spend the majority of our time out in the White River National Forest.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Keystone Science School Day Camp: Each week of Day Camp has a unique theme whether it’s centered around a scientific concept or adventure activity. These theme-based weeks allow campers to go in-depth within a subject for the entire week. It’s guaranteed that campers will return home exhausted and anxiously awaiting the next day.
Keystone Science School Overnight Summer Camp: Our classic 6-day program includes everything one would hope to have at summer camp: campfires, nature hikes, wilderness camping, tie-dye, songs, skits, summiting mountain peaks, Hot Pink Gorilla sightings, archery and so much more! Your child will return feeling accomplished, tired, and excited to tell you all about it.
Keystone Science School Expeditions: Base camp is set for us to embark on multiple adventure sports like rock climbing, rafting, kayaking, and hiking–depending on the session. Develop leadership and outdoor camping and cooking skills while making new friends and exploring the Rocky Mountains!
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our camp leadership programs offer you the opportunity to serve as a role model, develop as a leader, and make a difference in the lives of others. Assist with activity implementation and group management while developing your leadership skills. You also get the opportunity to participate in exclusive activities with your peers.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Our Campership program strives to enable as many children as possible to have a KSS Camp experience by providing assistance to families with demonstrated financial need. In 2019 KSS provided over $24,000 in funding to 41 campers. We have dedicated volunteers known as our campership committee who read all applications and make decisions on the behalf of Keystone Science School. Financial aid is not guaranteed. We do our best to accommodate and take into consideration each applying family.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Keystone Science School Girls in STEM Year-round Day & Weekend Programs: We believe in empowering girls by engaging them in hands-on, real-world activities to show STEM is relevant and fun in an ever-changing world. Female STEM professionals support each program and student by giving them guidance to navigate a male-dominated workforce. This program is open to any female student currently enrolled in 3rd-12th grade with a differentiated curriculum for each grade.
