BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp operates at 280-acre Indian Rock Nature Preserve, part of Environmental Learning Centers of Connecticut. It includes Indian Lake’s two swimming areas, a farm, canoes/kayaks, and hiking trails. Office, first-aid station, restrooms and classrooms located in Fuller F. Barnes Education Center. Orchard House provides classrooms, lunchroom, restrooms, gift shop, and ice cream for sale.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Camp administrators and counselors are trained to meet the needs of special needs children. All staff are certified in first aid and medication administration, including diabetes management. Our staff are also trained to respond appropriately to children with ADHD, autism, sensory issues, developmental delays, and more. We will coordinate with other programs if your child requires visits from a specialist during the week (such as autism programs). Decisions regarding a specific child's eligibility for camp are based solely on a standardized safety assessment relative to our open camp environment, rather than his or her specific diagnosis.

CAMP LOCATION: We are located at 501 Wolcott Rd. in Bristol CT, near the Bristol-Wolcott town line on Rt. 69. Please visit our website at Our Camp Website Link: elcct.org for photos and more information about our facilities.
CAMP FACILITIES: We are located on a 280 acre nature preserve, including a pristine 9-acre lake for swimming, fishing, canoeing and kayaking. We also have a STAR LAB planetarium, rustic outdoor areas, three main buildings for instructional programming, a farm with live animals, fruit orchards, archery, tree climbing and rocketry programs.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our mission is to inspire an appreciation for, and enjoyment of nature, through education and conservation, fostering a healthy environment and an improved quality of life. Indian Rock Summer Camp strives to meet this mission by providing outdoor experiences to our campers that foster discovery, exploration and adventure, enabling children to gain new-found respect for themselves, others and the natural world.
We host up to 150 campers per week, with separate programs for children entering kindergarten to gr 1, 2-3 and 3rd grade, 4th and 5th grade, 6th to 10th grade, and 8th to 10th grade.
Last year our summer camp earned a perfect score during our annual inspection by the CT Department of Health.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: CIT program is open to campers over age 14 who are entering grades 10-12, see brochure for more information.

FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S): Earth Day Open House (FREE event) will be held Sunday April 22, 2018 from 10-2 PM. Some weeks include Finale Fridays, where parents can visit and see what their children have been learning each week.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
2018 sessions will begin June 25 and end August 24. Enrollment is on a weekly basis. Regular hours are 9 AM to 4 PM, with before and aftercare available if needed. Regular camp fee is $230 per week, some special fees apply for certain programs. Discounts available for siblings and early registration.
