BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Homeschool Resources Group, Pierian Spring Academy of Arts and Sciences, and the championship robotics teams of Lord of the Bricks Robotics are offering a STEAM Exploration Camp this summer. Each week, we will be exploring different activities to bolster your student’s exposure to different areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, Art, and Math; after all, you never know what you like (and what you don’t) if you have never tried it!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Computers, Math, Science, Technology, Academics, and more. Campers Will Explore STEAM Using Hands-on Activities In Robotics, Electronics, Legos Engineering, Programming, Carpentry & Woodworking, CAD Design, Doll House-making, Doll-making, Minecraft Engineering, Science, Rube Goldberg, Game Strategy, & More! A True Engineering Summer Experience!
CAMP LOCATION: Homeschool Resources Group centrally- located on the Henrico County - Richmond City line, near Willow Lawn Mall. Westwood Ave is between Broad St. and Hamilton St. Our Center is directly across from the Sears Outlet, situated at the Dabney Rd stop light. We are directly accessible from interstates I95 & I195. We are easily accessible from most locations in the Richmond area.
CAMP FACILITIES: Homeschool Resources Group is an 8,000 sq ft education facility. We offer science and robotics labs, a library, a warehouse work space, and several individual classrooms.

Our STEAM program is hosted by Lord of the Bricks Robotics, our award-winning robotics teams at the Homeschool Resources Group. The team has advanced to FIRST Virginia State Championships each year, and has advanced to East Super Regional Championships in the 2013-2014 season. They were also a Google Lunar X-Prize Moonbots competition round I winner. The teams' head coach is engineer and SolidWorks Engineering's Women in Engineering May spotlight recipient Shari Robinson.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Camps offer Early Bird discounts for enrollment by March 1. Multi-camp discounts are available, as well as layaway plans.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: During the year, we offer educational and recreational activities to support and supplement families educating at home, either full time or after school. We welcome all ages.
We offer an extensive and impressive collection of classes activities that benefit both college- and career-bound students of all ages. Please visit our website for our upcoming class schedules.
We also offer competitive and educational robotics teams for kids ages 6-18. Our competition season begins in September. Spaces are limited; please contact us for more information.

CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Homeschool Resources Group offers weekly sessions throughout the entire summer. Camps are Monday through Friday, 9am to 12pm ($165). We offer an full day program, allowing campers to experience additional activities from noon until 4pm ($255). Extended day options allow for supervised activities from 8:30-5:30 ($50/session). SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Teen camp counselors are welcome during our camps! Camp counselors receive a modest stipend for working with the Homeschool Resources Group during the summer.
Instructors of all types are always welcome year-round!
