BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Dinosaur Ridge Camps are an unforgettable adventure! Our camps keep kids moving and discovering in the incredible setting of our National Natural Landmark. These experiences are designed to foster excitement and wonder for science, art, and the outdoors while engaging in our hands-on educational curriculum.
SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Dinosaur Ridge Camps are as inclusive as possible and will work with your family to meet your child's needs.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Science, Academics, Wilderness/Nature, and more. Nature Hikes, Fossil Exploration, Outdoor Adventure!
CAMP LOCATION: Our Visitor Center is just west of the C-470 and Alameda Parkway exit, 30 minutes west of Denver, Colorado. We are adjacent to Red Rocks Park.
CAMP FACILITIES: We have a main Visitor Center as well as an outdoor museum of over 300 dinosaur footprints and a couple of dozen dinosaur bones still in the rock along the trail/path.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Erin LaCount: Erin LaCount has been in charge of Education and Programs at Dinosaur Ridge since 2003. Having grown up at Dinosaur Ridge, Erin attended the first-ever Dinosaur Ridge Camps in the late 1990’s. After a brief hiatus, Erin revitalized the Dinosaur Ridge Camps in 2012 and is excited to share her love of dinosaurs with the campers!

This camp is the perfect opportunity for future paleontologists, outdoor enthusiasts, and animal lovers to do science in a whole new way.
June 8-12 | Theme: Nature Trekkers | Age Group: 6-10
This camp is a discovery of the outdoor skills geologists, paleontologists, and naturalists use to fully explore our unique backyard.
June 15-19 | Theme: Rock Stars | Age Group: 11-13
This camp is for older kids that want to dive deeper into the sciences behind fossil and mineral collection, paleo-art, and outdoor leadership.
June 22-26 | Theme: Junior Scientists | Age Group: 8-11
This camp is for every kid who dreams of telescopes, fossil digs, contraptions, and messy science all in one amazing week! Members & Previous Campers can register today.
July 6-10 | Theme: Fossils & Fun | Age Group: 6-10
This camp is the perfect opportunity for future paleontologists, outdoor enthusiasts, and animal lovers to do science in a whole new way.
July 13-17 | Theme: Nature Trekkers | Age Group: 6-10
This camp is a discovery of the outdoor skills geologists, paleontologists, and naturalists use to fully explore our unique backyard.
July 20-24 | Theme: STEAM | Age Group: 8-11
This is a great camp for kids that want to go in-depth with projects and expand their knowledge in science, technology, engineering, art, and math.
July 27-31 | Theme: Junior Scientists | Age Group: 8-11
This camp is for every kid who dreams of telescopes, fossil digs, contraptions, and messy science all in one amazing week!
August 3-7 | Theme: Fossils & Fun | Age Group: 6-10
This camp is the perfect opportunity for future paleontologists, outdoor enthusiasts, and animal lovers to do science in a whole new way.
