BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Woodmont in NW GA is a traditional, overnight camp for boys & girls ages 6 – 14. Just 2 hours from Atlanta, Camp Woodmont features horseback riding, high-ropes, climbing, sports, dance, crafts, canoeing, archery & more!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Theater, Fine Arts/Crafts, Basketball, Soccer, Horses/Equestrian, Swimming, Waterfront/Aquatics, Team Sports, Adventure, Wilderness/Nature, and more. Gardening, Canoeing, Archery, Climbing Wall, High Ropes Course, & Low Ropes Course.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located about two & a half hours north of Atlanta, GA on top of Lookout Mountain, just south of Chattanooga, TN
CAMP FACILITIES: With 170 acres of hardwood forests, rolling meadows and pastures, and plenty of shade from the sun, Camp Woodmont's property is spectacular. The facilities include: Dining Hall Nurses Clinic/Staff housing Separate boys & girls cabin areas w/3 bathhouses Basketball gymnasium with stage and crafts room Mini 6-hole putt putt golf course Small lake w/dock Archery range Campfire rings & campout areas Swimming pool, 40 Tall Climbing Wall w/high ropes, zip line and giant swing Challenge course Athletic field Miles of horseback riding trails (w/stables & tack house) Scenic rock formations
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Our program features traditional summer-camp activities with an emphasis on nature, outdoor adventure, horseback riding, noncompetitive sports, and more. Founded on strong Christian morals & principles in 1981, Camp Woodmont is the perfect place to build lifelong friendships and everlasting memories. Our deep-seeded traditions, close family atmosphere and caring counselors make campers feel secure, welcome & reassured! Counselors are college-age and live in the cabins with the campers.
Our camp program is very well-suited to first-time campers: we have all of the traditional camp activities starting at an introductory level and the camp layout is very conveniently spaced out. We have a lot of returning campers as well!
