CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Fine Arts/Crafts, and more. We Will Print, Draw, Paint, Create With Clay, & Learn New Ways To Think & Talk About Art In The Galleries & Cummer Gardens.
CAMP LOCATION: The Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is located at 829 Riverside Avenue in Jacksonville, Florida, just minutes from I-95.The entire museum campus is situated on the banks of the St. Johns River.
CAMP FACILITIES: The Museum and its award-winning education center, Art Connections occupy adjacent buildings overlooking the three acres of The Cummer Gardens. Art Connections sets the stage for interactive learning that takes place throughout the rest of The Cummer. Learn about the history of art through an interactive timeline with videos, music and sculptures to touch. Paint your own painting on a giant digital canvas. Create a self-portrait by drawing with your finger over a photo of you on a computer screen. Dance to music while watching your body move in a rainbow of colors on a large screen. Make a garden collage or a crayon rubbing landscape to take home.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Projects are age-specific, built for students with a variety of art experience, and designed to help young artists grow as creative, unique individuals. The educational mission of the Cummer Museum of Art & Gardens is to bring the power of the arts and the joy of creation to all people. Our programs serve the entire community by opening new windows of understanding, creativity and inspiration for all – young and old, long-time museum enthusiasts and those just beginning to explore new ways to interact with the arts.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Members $180, Non-members $200
Camp Cummer is non-refundable
Six, one-week sessions are offered. You may sign your child up for two sessions only that run weekly from June 9th to July 21st. Refer to the Cummer Museum of Art & Garden's link for an exact schedule.
