BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Chameleon provides kids with an opportunity to play, have fun and just be kids! We encourage enjoyment of the outdoors and teach children an appreciation for nature. Physical activity is emphasized with a variety of non-competitive sports and games. We provide a festive atmosphere that encourages participation in creative art and science projects, music, dance, and lots of special events!
Campers enjoy field trips 5 days a week! Field trips to local pools and aquatic parks are combined with other favorites such as bowling, movies, arcades, roller/ice skating, painting and ceramics, indoor gyms, to name a few!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Dance, Theater, Music/Band, Fine Arts/Crafts, Basketball, Cheerleading, Weightloss, Soccer, Swimming, Tennis, Waterfront/Aquatics, Volleyball, Science, Adventure, Travel, Wilderness/Nature, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located in Markham Park near the city of Weston, FL. Markham Park is a beautiful county park with over 600 acres of land, trees, and lakes to explore! Visit our website for camp photos and more information!
CAMP FACILITIES: Camp Chameleon at Markham Park is located at Shelters 5 & 7 in a beautiful lakefront area. The park has model airplane fields, nature trails, disc golf course, volleyball, racquetball, tennis courts and playgrounds for the children to enjoy in a wonderful natural setting!
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Experienced, caring counselors are fully background screened. Many of the staff work as substitute teachers and after care counselors in local Broward County schools.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Leadership Training program (CIT) available for campers entering 9th and 10th grades. Ability to earn community service hours needed for high school graduation.
