BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: The Forensic Summer Academy is a five day non-residential program for students interested in the role of forensics at the nexus of law and justice.
During the week long exploration, students will learn from fascinating legal cases and experiential interaction with actual homicide detectives, forensic scientists and special agents.

CAMP LOCATION: We are located in Baltimore City on the Campus of the University of Maryland Carey School of Law.
CAMP FACILITIES: We will take advantage of the forensic legal study opportunities that our Baltimore City location and close proximity to D.C. afford. Campers will visit

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The Citizenship Law Related Education Program was established in 1975 to promote law-related education for public and private school students throughout the state of Maryland. Our programs:
1) Teach about the law, legal profession & courts through real life experiences;
2) Improve students' and teachers' knowledge and understanding of the law & the legal process of our justice system;
3) Foster a more constructive attitude toward the law; and
4) Decrease youth crime through diversion, education, community restitution, and structured, positive, out-of-school activities.
CLREP is managed by Professional Development & Training Center, Inc., a non-profit, 501(c)(3) educational corporation.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Full and partial ($150) scholarships are available. To be considered for financial aid, please complete the application available on our website at: Our Camp Website Link: www.clrep.org.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: The Citizenship Law Related Education Program (CLREP) also manages other unique educational initiatives such as the:
MSBA High School Mock Trial Competition: Over 140 high schools & 2,000 students compete annually in the statewide Maryland State Bar Association Mock Trial Competition.
The Baltimore City Council Page Program: Students from city schools are provided professional attire & paid to work “on the floor” during council meetings. As a culminating project, they complete an Advocacy Project & present it to Council members.
Baltimore City Teen Court: Baltimore City Teen Court is a voluntary diversion program for young people aged 11-17, that has served over 1800 youth offenders. Attorneys, judges, and law school students, preside over the hearings, as trained youth jurors decide upon sanctions rooted in restorative justice.
Civics & Law Academies: The Civics & Law Academy allows students to engage in meaningful dialogue, participate in interactive sessions, and network with judges, lawyers and legal professionals
Baltimore City Law Links Internship: Law Links is a paid, full-time, summer legal internship for Baltimore City high school students. 2017 marks the 24th year of Law Links, and the placement of 809 youth in internships since its inception.
Maryland Moot Court Invitational: This fall, CLREP will present the 6th Moot Court invitational Tournament. Schools from every judicial circuit in Maryland will compete in the day-long event.
Law Day Conference: This year’s conference will offer activities for younger students focused on the 14th amendment.
