BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Boston Harbor Scottish Fiddle School is an all-ages, all-instruments residential music camp focusing on traditional Scottish and Cape Breton fiddle music. Our teachers are outstanding artists from these traditions. During the day campers take music classes, and in the evenings we have parties, dances, concerts and other fun activities.

CAMP LOCATION: Our camp is held on beautiful Thompson Island in Boston Harbor. It is part of the 37-island Boston Harbor Islands National Recreation Area, and is about 2 miles offshore from downtown Boston. We use Outward Bound's facilities on the island, including dorms, classrooms, dining room, etc.
CAMP FACILITIES: Housing is in basic college-style dorm rooms. Three meals a day are served in the dining hall, and snacks are available around the clock. Thompson Island features an ocean beach for swimming, hiking trails, athletic fields and equipment, and beautiful views. Sunrises and sunsets are particularly beautiful as seen from the island!
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Programming consists of Scottish musical instruction during the day, and a variety of concerts, parties and sessions in the evening. We offer fiddle classes on four levels (slow, medium, fast and wicked fast!) plus piano and guitar.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Youth scholarships and work study assistance are available. Detail at Our Camp Website Link: www.scottishfiddleschool.org

Fees: $950 adults, $850 teens and young adults (13-24), $800 children (12 and under), $850 companion (not taking classes)

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
Work-study assignments are available for campers over 18. Youth scholarships are available for ages 13-24.
