BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Summer Camp Boca Museum Art School Summer Camp is so much fun kids don’t know they’re learning! Children explore art techniques and artistic concepts geared to age groups: 5 to 7, 8 to 10, 11 to 12. Theme weeks and a variety of creative art projects stimulate children who attend one or more weeks. Every campers artwork is exhibited in the Boca Raton Museum of Art at the end of summer.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: Located one mile east of I-95 on the campus of the Boca Museum Art School. The camp is conducted indoors in the professional well-equipped art school studios.
CAMP FACILITIES: Day camp. Professional art studios, recreation and lunch room.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Teaching staff are certified public school teachers with advanced degrees in the fine arts. Volunteer aids are high school and college students who are former campers. While summer camp is fun, the art projects integrate learning art techniques, art history, vocabulary. Children create individual projects as well as create group team art projects. Each campers art work is exhibited in the Boca Raton Museum of Art at the end of the summer.
CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Financial aid available based on need. Application for financial aid must be submitted by April 15.
YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Boca Museum Art School offers after school and Saturday art classes during the school year for ages 5 to 18 year olds. subjects include: drawing, jewelry, painting, photography, pottery, sculpture, photography, and video.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
Weekly sessions, June 4 to August 12.
9am - 4pm, $285 per week (includes all supplies)
Early care and late care available. Each week the art activities have a different focus such as "Meet the Masters", Manga Madness, Pop Art, Arts from around the world, Children explore sculpture, painting, cartooning, world cultures. Campers meet with 2 different teachers, twice per day. Exercise time and relaxing time are schedule each day. In addition to individual projects, campers learn to work collaboratively on group projects.
