BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Blue Mountain Ranch is a small, traditional camp tucked away in Pike National forest in beautiful Colorado! Here your child will gain new experiences while exploring in our stunning natural environment with children from all over the country and foreign countries! Operated by the same family for 69 years, Blue Mountain is a treasure in a complicated world!
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Music/Band, Basketball, Football, Baseball, Cheerleading, Soccer, Horses/Equestrian, Swimming, Tennis, Waterfront/Aquatics, Team Sports, Adventure, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: Blue Mountain is located 35 miles west of Colorado Springs in the Pike National Forest. We have almost 500 acres available for activities that take place in breathtaking Rocky Mountain scenery. Please visit our website for further pictures and videos.
CAMP FACILITIES: We have 6 girls and 6 boys cabins, large log dining hall, rec hall, outdoor heated pool, gymnasium with theatre stage, private stream fed lake for canoeing and fishing, ropes course, large athletic field, tennis courts, archery range, rifle range, gazebo, and horse barn and corral. We are surrounded by Pike National Forest which we use for hiking and horseback riding.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We have a great outdoor program which includes mountain climbing and rappelling as well as a ropes course with a zip line! We are located in the Pike National Forest which we use for hiking and horseback riding. Our counselors are trained in "Leave No Trace" ethics and are always aware of our duty to respect and educate about the natural environment.
We offer a wide range of activities for the campers to choose from and they do so on a weekly basis. Each child's schedule is led by that child's interest. We also have field trips to places of nearby scenic and historic interest as well as exciting evening and weekend activities.
For a full listing, please see our website! Our staff are young people who are carefully chosen for their interest in and love of children. Blue Mountain Ranch is directed by Bob and Suzie Allen Graf (founders in 1946 were Bill and Dorothy Allen), and their children, David, Tim and Liz Graf.
CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: We have a leadership program which we provide for our Counselors In Training who have been to camp before and are at least 16 years of age. It is lead by Director David Graf who is a teacher in the Woodland Park School District and who currently is the Student Council advisor. Elements of the program include overview of the staff manual and staff orientation materials as well as low and high ropes activities.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Blue Mountain Ranch has long been recognized for the ability to create in children a sense of wonder at their natural world, a feeling for leadership, an ability to discover independence in a safe place, and for showing children the advantages of their own unique personality traits. Children thrive and grow in this atmosphere and leave camp with more self confidence.
CAMP SESSION DATES & FEES:
