CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Basketball, Swimming, Waterfront/Aquatics, Volleyball, Team Sports, Adventure, Wilderness/Nature, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located 2 1/2 hours north of Minneapolis on the NE shore of Big Sandy Lake. Please check out our website for details and photos.
CAMP FACILITIES: Dorm style housing, dining hall. Actvities include Mountain Scooters, Sandy Swimming beach, water slide, skiing, boating, field games, laser tag, sling shot range, Gym, climbing wall, indoor & outdoor basketball, volley ball, crafts, wooded trails, petting farm & more.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Big Sandy Camp is affiliated with the Christian & Missionary Alliance. We take our mission of "touching hearts and changing lives through innovative, Christ centered activities events and programs" very seriously. We have a carefully selected, screened and trained summer staff, and chapel sessions that are fun and age relavent for each camp session. CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS:
We do offer two sessions of our Leaders in Training (LIT) program. Each session is two weeks in length and the student will spend one week co-counseling a cabin, and will spend the second week working program areas, helping with dishes, serving, meals, and getting to know the "behind the scenes" events and set-up/tear-down of camp activities. FAMILY CAMP SESSION(S):
We offer two sessions of Family Camps, one over the Fourth of July and the second over the Labor Day weekend. These weekends are geared towards families being able to be together, play, learn and grown spiritually together.
