CAMPER AGES: 13-17
TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp. June 23-26, Tuesday-Friday, 1pm-5pm
CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.
BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: This advanced camp aims to introduce students to techniques and ideas that go beyond basic photography. You will learn to merge antiquarian processes with modern image making to create unique artwork. Students will explore their creativity with digital capture and the latest photo editing software, as well as with large format film and alternative processes in the wet lab darkroom.
Each student will leave with a collection of their artwork made during camp, be featured in an online exhibition at Our Camp Website Link: www.artintersection.com, and have one or more of their images published in the summer student catalogue. Snacks provided.
Students must have some foundation in digital and film photography OR have taken the Exploring Photography or Introduction to Photography camps at Art Intersection.
CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Fine Arts/Crafts, Video/Filmmaking/Photography, Computers, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: We are located in the Art Intersection in downtown Gilbert, on the Southeast corner of Cullumber and Gilbert road.
CAMP FACILITIES: We are an art gallery and learning space, containing four gallery spaces, a classroom, fine art lighting studio, digital print lab, darkroom and alternative process photographic space.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: The camps are taught by the Art Intersection staff who are all working artists themselves.
