CAMP PROGRAM INFO: SuperCamp is the original academic, life and career skills camp, with locations across the country: Stanford, UC San Marcos and Villanova University. We have inspired more than 75,000 students from 85 countries.

Only 26% of high school students are ready for college. Prepare better! 73% of SuperCamp grads see an increase in grades. But our grads also experience shifts that go beyond academics: 93% improve peer relationships and 77% improve family relationships. 81% feel more confident in their daily lives!

SuperCamp is a highly engaging experience where your child acquires strategies for effective learning in all subjects, develops critical new skills in reading, writing, thinking, speaking, memory and note-taking, and builds communication, leadership, relationship and career capabilities.

Give your child the experience of a lifetime this summer at SuperCamp. They'll love Outdoor Adventure Day, which is all about goal setting and overcoming fears, learning to work as a team, building trust and rapport with new people and exercising leadership skills. We offer 7 or 10 day programs and our senior forum is even worth high school credit! Spots are filling quickly, so call today: 800-228-5327

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Available in both Junior and Senior Forum, this program is designed specifically for our return students to go deeper into the SuperCamp curriculum. We place them in situations where they can mentor other students by modeling the 8 Keys of Excellence and academic strategies to their peers.

Our team leaders give Leadership Track students focused coaching on topics like what makes a good leader opportunities to step out of their comfort zone in front of the group situations where they can display initiative and practice communication and critical thinking moments to practice their leadership style with other teens feedback on where they’re doing well and where they can grow, building their confidence in their abilities. Students in the Leadership Track come home feeling challenged and empowered to live up to their full potential and to assume leadership roles in many areas of their lives.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: SuperCamp doesn't end after the summer. Our year-long grad support makes sure your student is able to stay on track throughout the school year. We also invite our grads to come back and step into a leadership role at SuperCamp the following summer by enrolling in Leadership Track. (see description under Leadership above).

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Marin Ranch Camp is Marin County's premier residential adventure camp. We're known for our core values of Friendship, Adventure, Community, Tradition & Safety.

We offer a fun and engaging camp program where any kids entering 2nd - 8th grade (LIT for 9th - 12th) can hike, swim, boat, explore and play. A place where children can be themselves while participating in traditional, good old fashioned summer camp activities.

At Marin Ranch Camp, the opportunities to engage with nature are limitless thanks to our lake, river, organic garden, farm animals and hiking trails spanning over 1,700 acres in beautiful West Marin.

Sure, we do all the traditional camp activities like canoeing, archery and a ropes course to name a few, but it goes much deeper than that.

We believe in the power of our sleep-away camp.

We recognize the importance of providing children with a space where they can get away from the pressures of everyday life and experience freedom from stress and over-scheduling.

Our caring and thoughtful team helps each child have the best possible experience by acknowledging them as an individual with their own strengths, challenges, fears and passions. Campers are provided a space where they feel safe to step a bit outside of their comfort zone and challenge themselves by experiencing new adventures.

We hold a deep understanding of the incredible transformation that occurs when kids attend our residential camp. We support them as they learn and grow in a new and encouraging environment, away from the familiar surroundings of home and family, and we welcome them into our loving community where it is safe be yourself.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: Our high school campers are Leaders-in-Training (LITs). Campers in this program will get the same great Marin Ranch Camp experience, with many added responsibilities and activities. Our trained and experienced directors take a special interest in these young leaders, gauging their established leadership, teamwork and communication abilities and taking them to the next level using fun games and ropes course challenges.

CAMPER AGES: 6-14

TYPE OF CAMP: Day Camp. Weekdays 9am- 3pm with extended care options available.

CAMPER GENDER(S): Coed Campers.

BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Camp Helping Hands is a service-learning summer day camp for kids ages 6-14. Campers learn that they can give back their community - and have fun doing it!

SPECIAL NEEDS CAMPERS: Special needs campers attend our camp, although we do not have a special program outside of what we offer. We do have trained staff in the area of special needs education.

CAMP INSTRUCTIONAL ACTIVITIES OFFERED:
Swimming, Academics, Travel, and more.

CAMP LOCATION: Camp Helping Hands (CHH) leases space from universities and other institutions that offer the facility space and requirements needed to run our program.

Currently, we care located at California Lutheran University (CLU) is sunny Thousand Oaks, California. The campus is quaint, quiet and serene. With lots of green space and swimming pools, CHH campers have plenty of room to play and have fun in between doing service projects and field trips.

CAMP FACILITIES: CLU offers a swimming pool, large classroom space for indoor projects, open green space for sports and games, and easy access from the freeway.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Camp Helping Hands is a service-learning camp for young children. Service-learning is often confused with community service, but they are different. While volunteerism and community service are components of the service-learning education model, service-learning emphasizes both service and learning and requires participants to use their knowledge and skills to address real-life needs in their own communities. At Camp Helping Hands, campers will achieve this goal by following the four phases of the service-learning process: investigation, planning, taking action, and reflection. When led through this collaborative process, students share and invest their ideas and skills and feel truly committed to the project and to making a difference.

Camp Helping Hands Summer Camps are offered in multiple locations throughout Ventura and Los Angeles counties and provide a fun and safe place for children ages 6 through 14 where they enjoy sports activities, games, swimming, arts and crafts, music, and more. But the real mission behind CHH is showing kids how they can make a difference and have fun doing it. Through engaging inquiry-based lessons and weekly service field trip expeditions, our campers learn leadership skills, develop compassion, and grow confident as they address real-world problems by taking action in their community.

Camp Helping Hands Summer Camps are three-week programs that provide fun and educational service-learning opportunities within several different segments of your community. Each summer program has an overarching theme, and each week of programming supports that theme. For CHH campers to receive the full benefits of service-learning, it is important to embrace this three-week approach, though one and two-week options are available. In addition to each week's service projects and field trips, CHH campers also swim, play sports activities and games, sing songs, do arts and craft projects, and much more.

CHH places campers according to age into four age groups: Junior Helpers (6 and 7), Young Advocates (8 and 9), Super Agents (10 and 11), and Chief Aides (12 and 13/14). Each group contains 15 to 17 campers and is led by three counselors who guide them through age-appropriate activities. Chief Aides, our oldest age group, are counselors-in-training (CIT's). In addition to participating in camp activities like our younger campers, they assist team counselors and camp administration with tasks as needed.

CAMP LEADERSHIP CIT/LIT PROGRAMS: The Camp Helping Hands Counselor-in-Training (CIT) program is designed for teens 12 and 13 years old and 14- year-olds entering their freshman year of high school. Camp Helping Hands CITs gain new skills as they learn what it is like to work at camp while still participating in fun camp activities.

Registration rates are reduced for CITs, since half of their time is spent helping staff and administration.

CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS OR FINANCIAL ASSISTANCE: Currently no scholarships or aid is offered, though we plan to offer scholarships in the future.

YEAR-ROUND PROGRAMS: Camp Helping Hands (CHH) began as a summer camp project and has become the premier service-learning summer camp for young children serving the Conejo Valley and surrounding areas. Today, CHH also offers Family Days, a one-day service program designed for parents who wish to serve alongside their children; Holiday Camps, one-week day camps that provide a glimpse of our summer program and occur during school winter and spring breaks; and Host A Camp, an opportunity to license and operate a CHH summer camp in your community.

OTHER CAMP INFO: We are planning to expand to other locations in California and other states. If you are interested in running a Camp Helping Hands we offer affordable licensing options.

CAMP PROGRAM INFO: Active Learning Services, Ltd operates enrichment programs designed to stimulate creative thinking, improve thinking, logic and memory skills and give children "thinking alternatives" to sports camps and other summer programs. Our programs include chess programs and camps thru USA Chess, Our Gamebuilder Video Game Creation Programs and our Active Learning Computer Enrichment Programs.

Our staff is, comprised of the best children's chess instructors in North America! The USA Chess camps are uniquely qualified to cater to the needs of the advanced scholastic player as well as the true beginner. USA Chess hit its first milestone in the summer of 2000 producing the largest chess camp ever held in the United States, with more than 250 students enrolled. What was most surprising, however, was the amount of absolute beginners in attendance - more than 50% of the total enrollment was just starting to play chess. This realization led to the national rollout tour of 100 camps in more than 70 cities. The annual tours have been immensely successful with several thousand campers attending this year alone.

USA Chess thrives on providing a structured environment that is extremely conducive to learning chess. We handpick the best children's chess instructors from all over the United States and bring them to each camp. We believe our team is most effective in teaching chess to children of all ages and levels. The exceptional organization and ever-fun curriculum has fueled much interest from scholastic players and coaches from around the country, prompting them to request USA Chess camps in their areas.

At the same summer camp locations, we also offer the immensely popular Gamebuilder Video Game Creation Camps, The Active Learning Computer Animation Programs, and other Computer Enrichment Programs such as Modding, Networking and Hosting with Minecraft. We now offer seven unique programs in all.

At these camps, children are assigned a computer for the week; they spend the week learning to create their own one-of- a- kind video games in our Gamebuilder Camps, Animation Projects in our Animation Camps, also Modding, Networking and Hosting with Minecraft.
