BRIEF CAMP DESCRIPTION: Where will your bravery take you?
She Summits Co is a dynamic trip/ travel camp that offers: day camps, 1 week, and 2 week overnight camps for girls. From the eastern most point of the US to the inner lakes of Maine we adventure all week to different areas in the backcountry. Adventures are lead by Maine Trip Leaders and Wilderness First Responders who are excited to share their brave experiences and teach girls to be self confident young women in the backcountry.

Adventure, Travel, Wilderness/Nature, and more.
CAMP LOCATION: Trip and Travel camps are unique in that we don't have a residential camp. All of our camps meet at the Bangor International Airport where we start our journey!
CAMP FACILITIES: Our camp is unique in that our Base camp is where ever we are adventuring whether it be the Bold Coast or Down East Maine. When base camping we stay at established campgrounds throughout Maine. While in the backcountry- backpacking or canoeing we teach campers how to choose a place to stay overnight and set up a backcountry camp site.
CAMP PROGRAM INFO: We are an adventure travel camp for women of all ages but specializing in adventure summer camps for young women who have finished 5th grade and up.
We are weekend warriors for women who need an escape to live their best lives.
We are a summer camp for young women that travels around the state of Maine enjoying the outdoors and learning to be more self confident through brave experiences
We are captivating to women of all ages who are looking for an adventure in Maine and want to try to step out of their comfort zone to become more self confident in the outdoors
We are a tribe, as a participant you become part of our tribe through individual attention and small group participation. We keep our numbers low for a closer experience.
Our main goals are to have fun in the outdoors, make friends, and take care of the beautiful spaces that Maine has to offer.
Our Philosophy
She Summits Co. exists to impact each young woman and girl that comes to camp.
To let them escape society, live their best life, and blossom into self confident individuals.
She Summits Co. principles and programs create an atmosphere of lifting each individual up through the simple act of being brave.
These acts of being brave are based on each woman’s comfort level and they are encouraged to reach down and find the courageous woman inside to just take the next step.
She Summits Co. endeavors to teach women to love themselves and be confident in the person they are right now as well through these outdoor experiences
You will meet incredible women that can become some of your best friends and part of your tribe.
Days spent with She Summits Co. are priceless. These days will be challenging, dance-filled, optimistic, singing, encouraged days.
Our Staff:
Our Directors have a combined 30+ years of experience in the outdoors.
Trip Leaders are all 22+ and out of college. They all have specialized experience in the backcountry. All of our leaders have Wilderness First Aid and Maine State Trip Leader certifications.

OTHER CAMP INFO: Trip and Travel camps are adventurous and unique. We take adventures across the state of Maine and help to bring about self confidence in the outdoors for growing young women through backpacking, kayaking, canoeing, swimming, rock climbing, and mountain biking.
We love to be outdoors and we want to give back to the land that we use as well so each camp involves a service project related to the area that we are using.

SUMMER CAMP JOBS:
At She Summits Co. we are a tribe. When you join the tribe we hold each other up and help each other out. Our Trip Leaders make the summer camp experience. You are the glue that holds it all together. Trip Leaders want to give an unprecedented experience to every camper just like leadership staff want to offer you an unprecedented experience working for us. We want inspired, motivated, optimistic, outdoor loving women.
We seek out trustworthy, skilled, and empowered women who envelop our mission and vision in their daily lives. Most importantly, we want you to be brave and apply. Even if you are telling yourself the story that you can’t apply because you don’t meet all the criteria. We want you to apply. Put yourself out there and see what happens. BE BRAVE!
Role Models
Trip Leaders serve as role models for our summer campers. Typically they are college-aged students or recent graduates from across the United States. You are a teacher, a confidant, a friend, a leader, a cook, a sister, an inspiration, and a professional. Diverse backgrounds that congregate around a love of the outdoors, a need to help keep green spaces green, and a passion for teaching others are what we love to see in our Trip Leaders.
Qualified Leaders
Its in the job title- Trip Leader, we want you to be comfortable in the outdoors not just taking care of yourself but also by taking care of others. Showing you have the knowledge, creditials, and have put in the preparation time are what leaders do. Our Trip Leaders all have Wilderness First Aid Certifications, Maine Trip Leader Certifications (Trained at Camp), CPR, ServSafe Food Handling, and Tick Inspection Certified. Some of our Leaders will also have Lifeguard Training, Leave No Trace Leader Instructors, Certified Life Coaches, Certified Fitness Coaches, and Yoga Instructors,
Training
Our trip leaders arrive three weeks before camps start to be able to go through comprehensive training on what each camp entails. The Trip Leaders go through Maine Trip Leader Certification first and then we embark on our on-trail training. These experiential weeks cover all aspects of camp and make you self confident in our Maine wilderness areas. Dance parties are had, songs are sung, and becoming part of the She Summits Tribe happens.
